i'm gonna be upgrading to a PS4 soon so need a bit of info on this service.
1. Do you need a PS+ sub to use it?
2. What is the video quality like on the guests side?
3. Are all games available via Share Play?
4. If I get a PS+ sub on my main account, can i use the PS+ services on a different account on the same computer?

My PS+ ran out recently and the cheapest I can find is £35. Xbox live is so much cheaper

The main qualm i have is I've got like at least £50 worth of downloaded games on my PS3 which i sometimes will like to play even if I get a PS4. And connecting both the PS's makes such a mess with wires etc. Can I transfer the games over to the PS4?

Sorry nadz, there are a few games (very few) that are crossplay (Journey a recent example) that you can download for free on the PS4, but for the most part PS3 games are seperate from PS4 games.

I doubt you'll ever be able to play PS3 games on a PS4. Emulating the PS3's Cell Processor with the PS4's hardware would likely be impossible.

Hobo depends on the game, there are quite a few of the simpler games like Journey that are available, and quite a number of bigger games Final Fantasy etc, along with some remasters, if your willing to pay for them

most of my PS3 downloaded games are PS2 classics tbh. Games like San Andreas and Vice City. Don't see the point in rebuying them again for the PS4.

I think you just need to accept it's a new gen and as such offers next gen experiences, my PS3 ended up in the bedroom but don't really play it.

Amiga - they're ports though, re-written for PS4 hardware. I was meaning you wouldn't ever be able to play a PS3 download game on a PS4.
That's not knocking the PS4; the Cell Processor is just very difficult to emulate.

Yes simply sticking in a PS3 game would be tricky, like you say the Cell would be tricky to emulate, although PS Now will allow you to play PS3 games, not sure if thats some sort of emulation or what?
