Over the last couple of seasons, it appears to me that David Edwards has changed from a peripheral player at Wolves to one who is vital to our success.
A few years ago, he was derided by some fans in a similar way that Keogh, Henry, Stearman and others before him had been. Now however, he seems to be playing with confidence, understands his role within the team and scores vital goals.
The improvement in Eddo's game coincides with an extended run of fitness (he had some extended periods out of the team with nagging injuries) and also his maturity as a player.
He is now one of our longest-serving players and it appears that he feels wanted and "loved".
Kenny Jackett appreciates what Edwards brings to the team and he has challenged him to score a reasonable return this season, so obviously intends to play him more often than not.
So, has your view of Edwards changed?

He was very injury prone with leg and back problems but now seems to have overcome the problems. many say he's a box to box player and he does have a lot of energy. But as you rightly say Tam, he's a good Championship player and this, I would suggest, is his best level. When we go up we need to replace him as he'll be past his best as he's 29 now.
It will be interesting to see if he gets an extension to his contract during this season.

I can see Eddo getting a new contract, especially should we get promoted.
From all of the reports that I read, Jackett seems to appreciate what DE brings to the team.

Remember what we've been told Cyp. You cannot form an opinion on players unless you've SEEN them play, not read in reports. Surprised you haven't been picked up on about that.
