Last night/Transfers

OK, as expected, we lost to a much better team. No great shock. However, lessons can still be learned about our short comings.

First up, the players I feel came out of last night with some credit.

Berahino. As ever, our biggest threat despite having to feed off scraps. Boy does this lad need some help not just from his fellow strikers but also from the midfield who look devoid of creativity. Hopefully Rondon and Gnabry can sort this out.

Myhill, kept things respectable. Without a couple of point blank saves it could've been embarrassing.

Lescott, managed to cover for a few of his team mate's shortcomings.

And now for the bad.

Chester. Some of you will say he played out of position last night but I believe that Pulis has brought him in to play right back. In short, last night he was poor. Yes he was marking a guy who is worth more than our team put together but he's not exactly a budget buy is he. His positioning was terrible and he needs to improve fast.

McLean. He couldn't trap a bag of wet cement.

Morrison. He's not a defensive midfielder and shouldn't be played as one.

Pulis. Got the tactics wrong. I don't want an apology, I want him to get it right in the first place.

Which brings me onto transfers. For me, we need at least 3 more players. We need somebody who will enable us to play 442. We need a beast in midfield who can play box-to-box, tackle, has pace and is physical. And we need two proper full backs. I can't for the life of me understand the Chester signing. That £8 million could've paid for two full backs which would mean just needing a Mulumbu replacement.

Fingers crossed we've got Rondon and Gnabry in the side on Saturday and we can get our season started but still a lot to do off the pitch for me!

What did you think of Chester's performance last night JH?

---------------

I thought he did as well as he could as a CB asked to play at RB against the most expensive winger in the PL.

Question...

Did you celebrate City's goals?

Yes!

Yep, I always cheer when we concede a goal

Do you play pocket billiards every time Pulis appears on screen?

As for Chester, he was awful, as was McClean.

Yes it was Man City but their performances need to improve.

I said Anichebe was a waste of money and you defended him. I told you so!

The whole team was poor. But we will not play a better team than that all season. They were as good as I've seen in a long time

You'll be safe come May. Pulis has never been relegated.

That was a rarity. He isn't good enough for the Premier League and we have better footballers.
