As I sit here on my sun lounger, enjoying a very nice cold beer.
I'm not worried about who made the lounger, or what fabric was chosen. I don't care whether traditional brewing techniques were used.
If I wanted to, I dare say I could hunt all over the web. I could find where they were made, I could probably find all sorts of gossip and rumour about the unscrupulous owner. If I wanted to believe the rumours about this horrible person and his horrible company, I could chose to lay on the floor instead and drink tepid tap water.
The Lansbury 'fiasco' is classic forest.
Our local rag (where I personally know 3 derby county fans work) spread gossip and rumour - without naming a source (not many positive stories coming out of the evening post is there!?!? Especially as it's our 150th anniversary) . Other websites and people in the know regurgitate the 'facts'.
Twatter then goes into melt down.
The owner comes out and states the actual facts. He states that the player that nobody wants to be sold, is not going to be sold, unless he doesn't want to be here. Twatter again melts down. The 'mixed messages' coming out of the club!! What a shambles!!! Get fooking real people.
Britt assombalonga.
Michael Antonio.
Lansbury.
There's £15m of talent at the club right now. And you still complain.
We had a previous regime that said nothing to the fans. They were vilified (look it up). We now have an owner who tells it as it is (almost minute by minute) and you're still not happy.
He's spent so much of his own money, that we have breached ffp FFS!! And you spoilt little children still want more more more ...... Oh, but also less less less.
Why not do what our manager has asked?
We are under an ffp embargo. We are doing what we can with what we've got. We're bringing in some decent players. Players that in my opinion aren't made of papier-mâché. We're going to bring products of our youth system through...... But again the spoilt brat that is the forest fan, still wants more!!! And it wants it NOW!!! DF has asked us to get behind OUR team.
It would appear that some of you simply can't or won't do it.
But like I say. Search the web. Take all the twatter as gospel.
Ignore fawaz.
Ignore our club website (we're playing Walsall apparently & some of our amazing youth academy products are going to feature).
Believe all the unsubstantiated negatives.
I'm laying down on the death sun lounger drinking the poisonous beer.
And you know what.
I'm actually quite happy with things.
What a bunch of muppets.

Every over-reaction has an equal and oppersite over-reaction-reaction.
We're not selling Lansbury...
Great! We're keeping key players and building a foundation.
We're selling Lansbury for 4 million.....
Great! Personally think he's very overrated and inconsistent, replace with a dedicated 7-8/10 anyday.
We can't really lose either way

TLP, actually Sky got the first Pearson sacking spot on. They took a lot of stick for it but when senior contacts in the club and those like Lineker, still associated with it, confirmed the owners had sacked Pearson and then reversed the decision, there were a few vocal fans who looked daft.
The second time Sky said he'd been sacked, the club confirmed it the next day.
All I'm saying here is no smoke without fire. For the likes of Sky and the Beeb to picking this up, this is more than just idle Twitter gossip. But hey, perhaps it's good it did get out.....

We're in an embargo, forest monkey. That's the point

Right back from tooooo many beers & 'fun' children's entertainment!! .....
Ray.... You and everyone else is entitled to any opinion you or they want. Too many people in my family have made sacrifices defending that right. So I'm certainly not saying 'shut up' or anything like that.
It's just that I really can't see how fawaz has done anything wrong ref Lansbury.
I don't think anyone can argue that his heart or his wallet are in the right place.
It's just that every time there is the slightest chance to have a pop at the bloke that got us out of the mire (and yes he did before any of you talk about debt write offs etc.) it seems that 'fans' are queuing up to have a go.
Let me elaborate on my position.... Hamer - I think needs some clarification. We tried to get him. It didn't work out. These things happen.
The relatively 'frequent' missed payments.... Again a bit of clarity please.
But other than that, I can't see what fawaz is supposed to do?

Get rid of Freedman, after tonight's fiasco again. Yes yet another useless Manager

What Fawaz needs to do is bring in an experienced person to act as CEO and be allowed to run things day to day. I defended him regularly up the point where the previous CEO walked and suggestion being he wasn't being allowed to do his job etc.
I personally believe if he brings in some back room staff into the financial, communication and day to day running of the club, then let them do their jobs with minimal interference; then it would be not only for benefit of the club but he'd enjoy it more as well.
We have had a constant them of communication, contractual and financial gaffes over the last few years. I can understand the passionate defence to a degree but things don't appear to be getting better on that front and we're struggling on the pitch. Difficult times....
I don't want to personally keep discussing these things but that's where we are, it is definitely not looking for things in order to have a go

You cannot blame Derby or Derby's media.
Several media sources stated that they received a phone call from Nottingham Forest confirming the sale of Lansbury and so they all posted the same story simultaneously and independently!
Even your own Paul Taylor at the Nottingham evening post. They then all independently tweeted how confused they were? Someone there clearly jumped the gun, and then forced a backtrack, according to Paul Taylor.
Anyway what colour is your sun lounger and is it padded ?

I had a BBC news flash appear on my phone last year stating a plane had crashed into the Med. this news was deemed worthy to be pinged directly to every phone that had subscribed to the BBC News service.
5 mins later, another ping stating, false alarm it was a boat.

"These things happen."
Don't they just? Time and time again. I wonder why it is?
