Rangers have turned down £6.5million offer for him.
Thoughts......?

'Rangers would probably finish top 6'
Yeah
Queen's Park Rangers maybe.
Better keep an eye out for them then

Reading about him and from what our Scottish friends are saying he sounds quality.
As it seems the Maynard deal is dead, why not offer Rangers £8million and see what happens.Ok i know this is a lot of money, but if he really is as good as people are saying and he is the piece of the jigsaw we are missing to get us into the Premiership and the owners are willing to pay the fee then why not go for it.

Emilio, it is a silly concept, but remember Tsepo Masilela?
Liverpool were asking for 5 million for Paul Konchesky, we then spun the story we were signing Masilela, even have him fly over to sweden to put pen to paper before liverpool had enough and slashed the price to 1.5 Million.
I'm not saying the exact same will happen to Nicky Maynard, but it might just force their hand as they will never get a better offer in their lifetime and will probably live to regret rejecting such a massive offer.

Yeah top 6, where do others think Rangers would finish in the Championship?

If the Old Firm moved down to England they would have the 3rd + 4th highest gates in the country: (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/stats/attendance/_/league/eng.1/barclays-premier-league?cc=5739)
Add in the sponsorship and tv money and you work out what happens...........

You don't get much sponsorship in the lower leagues where you would start, so I don't know. As things stand and as I said, top 6 in the Championship is about the level you are at now.

Jelavic said he wouldn't leave Rangers for a team like newcastle when he was linked with them in January so hopefully he wouldn't go to the championship
he could say no european football and he wants to go but he has to take a huge part of the blame for going out of the champions league and the europa so early, missing great chances in all four games,he scored one great goal against malmo but should have had 4 or 5 goals in those 2 ties
he is worth 9 or 10 million but i don't understand why we would sell just now,he just turned 26 last week and has 3 years left on his contract
he will still be worth 10 million next year
hopefully we can keep him as he's been a great player for us

As I said before, I think the only way I can see this one happening is if Jelavic himself forces it through. However, an £8 million bid as has been suggested might be too good for Rangers to turn down? What's the financial situation like at the club because I remember McCoist saying after the Maribor defeat that he would probably have to sell.

Ally said he hasn't been told he has to sell anybody
don't know about this new owner we have though or wether he is likely to accept that
8m is surely not enough for our best player on the last day of the window is it?
espescially when he has not long signed for 4m and he's only played 36 games for us

He's way too good for us frankly; anything less than £10m to the Premier League is daylight robbery.
