Some people don't need an excuse. At least there are some (even Celtic fans ) who can see through this nonsense and call it for what it is. Hopefully Ashley is only making more enemies throughout the Scottish game and that can only harm his interests.

I know there is a lot of wumming on here, and I would imagine that most reasonable supporters of other teams hopefully recognise that Ashley is in no way good for Rangers or Scottish football generally, but going by social media, there seem to be a lot of 'socially conscious' type people who would be delighted to see Ashley get one over on King and the incumbent Rangers board.

They may say that Ashley is less unpalatable than King, but it's not just about King. It's the whole board and everything they are doing. Wumming aside, if people cannot see the turnaround in Rangers in so many ways since the new board came in compared to the period where it was being run by Ashley-influenced people, then they obviously do not want to see it.

The phrase 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' comes to mind, and there are a lot of people who shouldn't give Ashley the time of day (if their self proclaimed social values are to be believed) who seem quite happy to jump into bed with Ashley in the hope that he will get one over on King and the Rangers board. Just look through history to see how that has went; there are many recent example including Assad, the Taliban, etc. which prove the dangers of that approach..

To these people I say, listen to the messages that are coming out from Rangers. Check out the recent interview with the MD Stewart Robertson. Rangers are heading in the right direction, and appear to be looking to do so in a more humble away. That is what everyone should want. If you don't want that, then I think you should be looking at yourself and your own values.
