I blame Giroud

but that should not be a surprise. You could count on one hand the number f times he was a threat in 90 mins and even Campbell was more of a threat in his 30 mins. Le statue just does not do enough imo to put the defence under pressure and to get into goal scoring situations. Its like we play with 10 men a lot of the time.

Yes he does have some qualities but is just not good enough to be starting games for us. I thought I was ok with him as a sub but after today I just want him out of the club and replaced with someone with some movement. The last player I felt this strongly about was Denilson, even when others were still backing him. I'm not saying Giroud is a bad player, just that I don't think he is good enough to for a team that wants to be challenging for the title and he does not have the qualities I want to see in a striker for us. He does not have the pace and movement I want and is NOT a game changer/winner.

I know I'll get stick for this, so I will emphasise that it is when he has to play a run of games and is no longer fresh that I dont think he can cut it, but with the injury problems at Arsenal he will regularly have to do that. Add to that that hes only getting older so e should just go all out to replace him in January. For me that's even more of a priority than back up for Coq.

Now I've cooled down a bit following our defeat today I realised that I used the wrong ord. "blame" is not right. It is not his fault that Wenger continues with him. It is not his fault he is not good enough to play week in week out.

What I should have said is that Giroud playing was a big factor in todays result as he is not good enough to lead the line, not that he is personally to blame. I apologise, but still want him out of the club I have supported for decades through thick and thin.

It's crazy how under appreciated and underrated Giroud is

One of the best players at our club and would get into every team in the league bar city

Unfortunately fans who don't actually play football will never understand why Giroud is the reason why we have no fluidity and are so open defensively.

How can a striker make us weak defensively is the usual silly question?

Quite simply Giroud doesn't have the pace or movement to allow a counter attack game. So we are stretched through our midfield. Players like Alexis are taken out of the game because a static striker allows opposing defences to keep him on the outside/wing. Whenever he comes to the inside the CBs can easily snuff out any danger because they don't respect Giroud's movement in behind. At that point we easily lose the ball and get counter attacked. When you have slow spine in behind that usually means you remain vulnerable at the back to easy counter attacks.

We slaughtered Man Utd, Leicester City (two teams ahead of us) and even beat the mighty Bayern with Theo's danger behind the opposing back lines. And we were far more secure at the back because our CBs weren't drawn up the pitch. Contrast that to when Giroud starts. Slaughtered by Sheff Wed and Bayern, beaten by WBA and lucky not be beaten by Spurs. But those who don't understand football will still defend Giroud.

Arsenal's win percentage this season with Theo Walcott starting (all comps) is 78%. With Olivier Giroud starting, the win % is 36%.

Just to backup my point!

So by trying to show Giroud fans their lack of football knowledge, you show yours in an essay.

Giroud scores goals after goals. He's makes plenty of assists too. He has one of the best records in the league and he wins us games with these goals (bayern Munich)

He has world class positioning and finishing. He has world class placement and teamwork. All of these contribute to his world class ability. I haven't seen a better striker than him this season and only Aguero has more ability.

He is always getting back in defence too to help us but primarily he is a striker so strikers would be further forward...

You can always rely on him to be in the position that our midfielders would want him twin order to create a chance.

Unfortunalely someone with a football brain as small as yours will never understand the excellent ability of one of the best strikers in world football

How many times this season was Walcott playing in a team with most of our players fit, and Giroud playing in a team with most of our players injured?

At least my 'essay' had some valid football points. I will remind you of this c/ck sucking clap trap just like I did 'John' from the old 606, after he professed how Bendter was better than Augero.

Well thank you for appreciation on the size of my brain. It seems Henry, and many others share my lack of football knowledge. I suppose I will have to make do somehow.
