I`m getting very excited about this

current Spurs team. Much more consistent than the team with Modric and Bale in, that team had the odd good game, then were capable of getting beat by the likes of Portsmouth or Hull. This team looks strong all over the pitch, now starting to score and miss goals for fun, the defence is looking solid, let`s be fair most teams only score against Spurs now, if Spurs gift them the ball, very few sides over the past couple of months have been able to penetrate the Spurs back four.

Poch has the team playing at such a high intensity now, I am struggling to see the next team to beat Spurs (yes I know I questioned him earlier in the season, but we all make mistakes. )

The pundits still have yet to take Spurs seriously, one or two are starting begrudgingly to say Spurs may make the top four, so still going under the radar. Frankly the whole of the prem should be taking note of the growing momentum of this Spurs squad, and especially the First XI.

Today they absolutely pulverised a very useful West Ham side, last week they took Arsenal to the cleaners on their own patch without quite getting the result their performance deserved. The performance levels are going up game on game, and despite the Europa League, the team seem to be getting stronger. I will be very disappointed if this set of players do not become big players in the general scheme of things in the coming years.

All looking good just now.

How is Poch over achieving LLM

You really do have it in for the guy. You were the only one on here to say he would be gone by the new year. Even Levy with his trigger finger must be delighted with the job he is doing.

We have the best goal difference we have had in many many years. A solid defence, the first manager to properly believe in Kane. He recognised that Dier could be a very good Dm when we all thought he was mad. Dembele is excelling under Poch, Rose is much better, Lamela i could go on and on.
He shifted out the dead wood, we are super fit, scoring goals and play the high pressure game superbly.

I agree without Kane we would be in trouble and we must sign another cf in Jan, Dier, was missing against Liverpool, dumbbell slotted back in his absence and put in a motm display.

You are on your own with this one LLM you really are sprouting some drivel nowadays.

I also don't know how you think we will be able to sign TWO forwards?? Keeping one striker on the bench happy is one thing but Two??

Regarding more depth at dm, Dembele can play that role and we have Bentaleb and Mason in reserve.

Regarding 3rd choice keeper, Mchee was recently given a new contract so they must rate the kid. Again if we sign another keeper will he be happy at probably not making the match day squad.

On current form Sandy, we really should beat Chelsea next Sunday. But Jose will want to park the bus after what he saw today! And the fact we scored 5 against them at the Lane last season!

Not sure I agree at all with LLM, no way are Spurs overachieving, they have a very fine team now, and are beating most teams with a bit to spare, that is not overachieving, that is just being better than the opposition.

Re. LLM's comments, whilst I disagree that we're overachieving, he does have a few valid points; namely:

1. The pressing game we play is hugely energetic and we're using virtually the same XI every game. When we played the same XI under Harry we fell apart in February in two consecutive seasons

2. We do lack cover for Kane and Dier

However, I think once the team has bedded down a little Poch can start to rotate (e.g. Wimmer, Davies, Bentaleb, Son, Townsend (?). We do need one or two extra players in January ideally (particularly cover for Kane - if he picks up an injury we're facked)

Obviously its massively important we bring in another CF in Jan but I'm still not convinced we need another DM.

Dembele can play there like he did against Liverpool and excel, we also have Bentaleb and Mason.
