This is not a kneejerk reaction when i say this but i cant help thinking we have made a monumental error getting this guy in. In the 3 games we have played what has changed ?? The guy has been in charge over a month, yet the defence seems even worse than before, there seems to be no fight installed in the players at all and we still dont look that much of a threat. Southampton away on Saturday and im sure yet another hammering in the offing. If you look at the difference Big Sam has made at Sunderland already it shows we should have gone for a manager like that. Garde and his policy of pretty football will get us nowhere and i worry if we will even win another game this season. Even in press conferences the guy just seems lifeless and does not in my view probably has no motivational skills with players. People dont realise how different the french league is compared to the Premiership, there is no comparison. Gueye, Veretout were outstanding in Ligue 1 but look at them in the Premiership. Out of their depth comes to mind, like most of our signings.

At least with Timmy it used to sound like some of you got a bit of 'wood' but now it seems that Remi doesn't even give you a 'semi'!...

Should have given Tim more time. I think he'd be the better person to handle idiots like Grealish after his time at Spurs. Plus at least he's been there and done that with a relegation battle.

the mistake was hiring Sherwood in the first place. I tried to warn you but you didn't listen.

I've seen it all now.
A manager OUT after 3 games?
The modern fan lacks all the tenacity that fans used to have.
Villa have been relegation candidates under 4 or 5 managers for 4 or 5 seasons. After a net spend of a few million this year, and losing your best player, you were always likely to struggle.
But if you do go down, so what?
Your club are what count. Whether you play in the Conference or the PL. And you should support them no matter what they do!

Agree. Relegation could well be the end result, although I haven't given up yet. But the only way forwards is to back this manager to get what he can out of the what he's got. Pearson and Moyes are no longer an option (personally, never that impressed with Pearson, and Moyes left his last club in a similar state to ours).

You would have been impressed with Pearson if you'd taken him on.
If he could overcome his paranoia and sharpen up his approach to dealing with the media, he would have been the perfect fit for you guys.
While at Leicester he stripped the club of anyone who was putting in less than 100% effort, got rid of the high earners and then instilled some discipline to our shape and overall play.
While it took Ranieri to take the club to the next level (well, so far at least), make no mistake that the foundations were laid by Pearson.

Had a thought. If we only just lost 3-2 away to Liverpool, and Liverpool thrash Southampton 6-1 away, then we ought to beat Southampton 4-2. Right?
