The squad isn't the best but what we have was easily good enough to come 2nd in the group we had. The way we utilised them is the issue.

Agreed we should have come second but we didn't .
I blame LVG in the main. But even so I think we are a million miles away from the likes of Bayern, Barca, Real, PSG

The key word in all of this for me is frustration.

I think LVG has done quite a lot of good things but ultimately is comes down to what happens on the pitch.

I think now though with all the injuries we have we may just have to go on the attack in our next two (winnable or should be winnable) games and hope to outscore the opposition rather than try to keep them out and nick it.

You never know. The players may actually enjoy playing and just a little change in mentality could transform the season from what could be a promising one to a very good one. The league is up for grabs.

On a seperate note can Martial actually play in the Europa? Seeing as he has played for Monaco in a losing CL qualifying campaign would he then be allowed back to the lower tier competition as we could end up playing them.

We are but we don't need to be their level to reach the knock out stages.

I mean he has been average for us. He may actually only be average as I am not convinced thinking about it. Yes he played well at Southampton but we all know playing for United has different pressures and demands

You should've really made that a bit clearer then.

There's a difference between average form and just an average player.

if Shaw and herrera were moyes signing.
then lvgs signing have been terrible bar martial and blind.

I judge the quality of a player by the impact they have made on the first team. this is not saying the players are poor but they have had very little impact for one reason or another and the scary part is I am starting to suspect the manager is at fault.

If woodward went out and bought mahrez and kane for utd would any1 trust lvg to bring out these best in these players?

Ginger - Agree. Maybe Di Maria was just stifled and not allowed to really show his individuality enough. I don't know.
LVG seems too rigid and methodical and not a risk taker. I hope the next manager likes the players left to him otherwise it will another massive clearout again

No. The quicker that clown leaves the better the players will be and club.

I don't remember Moyes getting any credit at the time over Shaw nd Herrera. Just slated over Fellaini
