ROVERS v Crewe Alexandra

Tomorrow we will be looking to extend our mid-season rejuvenation where we have taken ten points from a possible fifteen. Mind you this could be a banana skin if the players think beating Crewe is just a matter of turning up.

Crewe have themselves won their last two League games against Oldham and Colchester but they still sit next to bottom of League One.

In his pre match interview Darren Ferguson has admitted that there is a feel good factor buzzing around the club at the moment. This has proved a difficult time for the likes of Harry Forrester who are not able to get as much game time as they would like but we are playing well and have competion for places.

Training has gone well all week and Tyson will be fit for tomorrow, Curtis Main and Richard Chaplow should also come into contention after recovering from their injuries. One person definitely missing will be Fellipe Mattioni, but he should be back for the Burton game.

Come January we will be looking to extend the loans as quickly as possible, and then dependent on that, look at bringing in others.

Ferguson is very wary of bulling up Conor Grant too much for fear of alerting other clubs to his talent. We have a good Cup draw and Conor needs to be here if he wants to play in that game, his loan expires the previous week.

Talking of the Cup, Rovers and Stoke have agreed a special price for the game 15 pounds for a single person, but 32 pounds for a family of four. This should mean a full house on the day.

Rovers have played Crewe 43 times over the years , here in Doncaster, with Rovers winning 23, Crewe winning 10 and 10 draws.

Wellens and Foresters wages will cover some of the deals.

As this is the boards choice I fully expect DF to have some good backing in January especially if the next four games pull us up towards the top 6.

Lund signs a long extension to his contract, now through Summer 2019.

DF doing as he has promised in sorting out who he wants for the future.

From what I've seen on highlights I quite liked Harry F, although sometimes he just "disappeared" in games. He obviously does not fit into DF's plans, but some playing minutes as a substitute, assuming he did well, could boost his value. However I assume we'd let him go free to free up wages.

Seems like DF has made his mind up that we have youngsters who, if they continue to improve will be great assets to the Rovers.

Before anyone brings up Dickov, these kids were here before he arrived. A lot of this goes down to the Academy coaches .

NY who are you expecting to give Dickof any credit.

Never even thought that Lanzo, just put it there for a laugh, I was NOT having a go at Hound, the news is so good though I didn't want the shine taken off it.

In the past we seem to have given kids a one year deal and left them to their own devices, I don't see that happening with DF.

I think he will look to bring these kids on to be good for us either as players or as sellable assets.
