Now you are all calm, let's talk seriously. How many players in this team an inarguably walk in to any top 10 teams offence? Mata? Rooney? Fellaini? Memphis? Remember those days when we stupidly bragged that we had attackers in falcao and rvp and rooney? Well it is clear we have none. We are saddled with so many overrated players who are supposed to be game changers but cannot change a diaper. This was why we started conservative hoping they would improve. They didn't.
Yet the many geniuses said attack attack and lvg indulged. More Carrick, mata through the middle, our sound defence is now falling apart too.
Sacking lvg won't change anything. This team is toothless thanks to players who have so much influence but have now been clearly exposed. We need someone to make the tough decision, tell end that rooney and mata, your big name signings are trash. They have to go. Who do you think will do that? Giggs? Mou who tried to signbrooney? Or a new manager trying to suck up to big names?
Lvg was brought in for these. If Jan comes and he does not do something then sack him, but I bet he will get a rash of attackers.
Till then we need to play what got almost to the top. Conservative tight football.
sacking lvg changes nothing

The players don't believe in his system, so they do the bare minimum to avoid being accused of insubordination. Innefectual five yard sideways pass? No problem, I didn't lose possession did I?
That doesnt win you football games.
I honestly can't understand people who are supporting him, based on what? The promise that if we buy Messi, Suarez, Neymar and Iniesta we'll be as entertaining as Barcelona?

If he's not gone by the Stoke game I'll be very surprised. There's supposed to be news coming out in the next 48 hours.

A new manager might not quickly improve things. BUT The priority now has to be to halt the destruction
LVG has reaked havoc. He's sold players who could do a job still (even if they were not grade A) and replaced with overrated rubbish. Heck, in retrospect even Tom Cleverly could offer more than that 'has been' Schweinsteiger.

Let's not go overboard Kilburn
Schwein has probably been the biggest disappointment for me though. It's not just a lack of mobility, it's just when he has time and space and just hoofs the ball into the stand. I've seen him do it repeatedly and can't even see what pass he's attempting to play

Also if the players push lvg out and giggs a player like them comes in then we will be stuck with these players and one year later we will be looking for a new manager again.

I just cant see him being sacked tbh. I think its the right thing to do but not if it means Giggs in place of him

Good article. I think LVG is on borrowed time now and I have defended him from premature criticism many times. He will be gone soon if there is not a dramatic turnaround but I agree that anyone expecting a quick fix as a result will be sorely disappointed.
Unless we witness a miracle then LVG will be gone in the summer but I am not convinced that sacking him now would achieve much. We were joint top of the league not long ago and it can't be coincidence that our poor results have coincided with our first injury crisis of the season.
That said, performances recently have been dire and injuries alone are no excuse for that. Still, it is worth noting that Jose had no such excuse yet fans are still singing his praises. As for signings, did Jose not sign Pedro, Falcao and Fabregas? How many trees have they pulled up this season?
One point of disagreement though - Jose sacked Mata against the wishes of the Chelsea fans and I think that was a shrewd decision. I also think Jose would sack Roo in his current form unless forbidden to do so by the United hierarchy who still seem to think that the sun shines out of Rooney's backside.

I'm not aware that anyone is supporting him anymore. All this article says is that sacking him mid season is unlikely to have the effect that people are expecting. That's hardly giving the manager his unqualified support is it?
