Bellusci gets a lot of stick and doesn't get a great press on here but I had this feeling his performances weren't as bad as made out so I did a check and came up with this.
Last year in the league we kept 13 clean sheets, Bellusci played in 11 of them and the points per game when he played would have given us 67 if he had played every game,
This year is 5 clean sheets, he has played in 4 of them and points per game would give us 36.
Now stats aren't everything but maybe it's something to think about.

I'm not sure what to make of him, he looks good on the ball one minute to doing something bizarre the next. Berardi is the model defender right now, consistently good. Taylor for Warnock was one hell of a move.

Don't rate him at all. Hes OK on the deck but aerially his awful. Amount of times he does not jump with a forward when a cross comes in is appalling.

Ok not the strongest in the air ... good sharp feisty player on the deck though, reads the game well and can pass creatively. A definite asset providing he doesn't lose his temper! (Seems to be improving on that ftont too )

Agree with Shaun, he's so erratic and inconsistent.
He can play well on the ground, is composed and is a good tackler. But he struggles in the air and can switch off in games which is where he can be at fault. The game against boro was such a bad performance.
Interesting stats though, maybe we expected too much too soon. Look at Koselny at Arsenal, he was terrible for his first season or so and now is one of the best defenders in the premier league

Been much better recently and works as the steel at the heart of our defence. Less erratic than Cooper IMO.
But people are right in saying he has his stupid moments, but so do Cooper and Bamba. I'd say that ATM Bellusci should definitely be starting.

Theirs better defenders at this level but he's not bad. I do admire his fight and passion and you can't begrudge him that, he wears the shirt with pride. I think Cooper is our future captain but he needs some help, bamba could be it but I think we need someone a bit better.
