Giggs-the odd man out

Giggs has been promised he'll have the chance to take over the club come 2018. I have that sinking feeling he's going to get screwed by the club. Ryan should take over at Swansea, learn to sink or swim in a desperate situation, earn his stripes, and when Maureen leaves in 3 years, and if Ryan's a real success at Swans, he should get his shot. He's not ready yet, and I can't fancy seeing Jose keeping him as a #2 that would have any real input in the everyday managing of the club. Discuss, I'm very much interested in how we all feel about this scenario.

Giggs promised!?! You really shouldn't believe everything you read in the papers!

Sorry but unless you've proven your managerial credentials then you have not earned the United job. Giggs most certainly hasn't proven his

If the club is going to appoint someone outside of the recognised group of top managers then giggs has as good a chance as anyone because he knows and will likely handle the expectations. I don't see it him being screwed over if he doesn't get the job and I don't think he should be forced by the club into any new management set up. The future of the team and club is of more concern to me than that of giggs tbh

I'd be sceptical about Giggs taking over. Not because of his inexperience but because I can't see much of his stamp on this team at present.

Even when SAF was in charge you could see Queiroz's influence.as well as hearing about it. I'd support Giggs of course but I'd be much happier as a fan first if I could hear what his ideals are and what his plans are should he get the role.

He has been too quiet recently with all thats going on. Im surprised the media haven't tried to nail him down.

Giggs could be a disaster. What evidence is there to support the fact that he's a half decent manager let alone a top class one that can take over at one of the biggest clubs in the world?

As said above he needs to go elsewhere and cut his teeth and get some actual managerial experience before anyone can even consider him in the role.

After two failed regimes since Fergie left you need to get the next managerial appointment right and Giggs would be the biggest risk you could probably take at this stage.

Giggs can feck off.

why does he have the God given right to manage us? earn some bloody experience at Swansea and let's see if you can make them a top 4 team.

What makes you think that he thinks he has the right?

I think Robb has summed it up very well and sensibly.

Do you think Guardiola would get Swansea top 4? I certainly don't so I don't see why that would be the minimum standard you would expect.
