Time for Lennon to Go

Losing 4-0 to the team that has lost more games than any other in the division, a brick through the team bus window, players not being paid no news whatsoever on potential new owners - Merry Christmas everyone.

One win in 29 and Lennon is saying he still wants to carry on - the man has no shame, he has the worst record of any manager in all 4 divisions and he has the brass neck to want to carry on.

Our current squad is mid table quality with players such as Amos, Vela, Wheater, Spearing, Clough, Davies as good as any in the league - the problem is Lennon. The squad are just not playing for him and today after all the revelations in the Sunday Mirror they have thrown the towel in.

We don't know what Eddie Davies is up to we can only hope that things are taking so long as the current prospective buyers just don't have the money and he is looking for genuine buyers. At the beginning of the seasons he must have approved the budget to get us through the the year and he must of known he wasn't going to get his money back in any sale so why is he refusing to fund the clusb during the sale period ?

If he has agreed to write off the debt and the club including the players, stadium, hotel and training ground is for sale for £15m what is the problem. What is the club not telling us.

Can anyone shed any light on matters.

We have Blackburn on Monday who will do their best to make us a laughing stock on Sky - as I said Merry Christmas everyone

Once the ownership wrangle is over Lennon will be booted out. Any owner worth his salt will look at 5 wins in 12 months with the utterly dire football that is played and pay off Lennon. For the clubs sake and his it needs a fresh start.

The problem is we don't have new owners and the reason is........... the prospective buyers don't have enough capital to ensure the club would survive. Otherwise the deal would have been signed sealed and delivered before now now.

I would like to buy the club but unfortunately, I don't have the resources so I wouldn't even think about it. Why these idiots who don't have the cash want to own a money pit is anybodies guess but unless one of them can find new investment soon we are going into administration. The tax man is biting at our heels and he will soon bring us down.

To start calling for Lennon's head at this time is stupid and futile. Anybody with half a brain can see the club couldn't pay him the compensation he would be due and as has already been asked, who would take the job on?

The fans need to get behind the team on Monday and give them every reason to win the game.

Nobody is happy with the teams performance but when you are a professional you should give every ounce of effort regardless of circumstances that you are up against. This team does have some seasoned professionals and quite frankly they should be ashamed of themselves for collapsing in the way the did yesterday.

It doesn't set a good example to the youngsters in the team. They need to get together and grow some balls.

In the past we have had some good professionals like Big Sam, Nat Lofthouse, Wynn Davies, Warwick Rimmer and many more, I shudder to think what they would make of our present players. Don't put all the blame on Lennon. Support him and the team as bad as some of them are because if you don't it will get worse if that's possible.

I think a lot of what's gone on is down to one simple fact. The players and Lennon probably knew how bad things are financially long before we did and then throw in the fact they weren't paid in November and that they've only been paid part of their wages with the help of the PFA.

In all honesty, if you were told by your empoyer "sorry we can't afford to pay you and you might not get paid at Christmas either" would you be inspired to do your very best work? Or would you be worried about your mortgage, car payments, credit cards and feeding the kids? Sure footballers get paid a lot more than we do but their bills also tend to be correspondingly higher because it's human nature to live to the edge of your means. Like most people they depend on their salary arriving on time in order to keep their heads above water and when it suddenly stops it causes fear and uncertainty just as it would for a clerk in an office or a factory worker. Lennon and the players do bear a lot of responsibility for the woeful performances we've seen but I think that there are more than enough mitigating circumstances to make it understandable.

Personally I rate Lennon and think if we get a takeover we'll see a very different man on the touchline and very different players on the pitch. Some of ours are undoubtedly not good enough and will have to go but those that remain will (imo) benefit no end from having the uncertainty about their pay and their jobs resolved. For now I will back them all as best I can and hope they can grab a win from somewhere, anywhere because I truly believe that getting that one win WILL change things around. I'm not saying we'll suddenly become unbeatable football gods, just that a win however scrappy or ugly would do wonders for everyone's confidence.

COME ON YOU WHITES!!!!!

If being not paid excuses poor performance what about Aug to Oct?

See lPp's comment about the players and staff knowing more about the extent of the financial issues than we did.

Lennons gotta go. Forget the defeats. Its the manner of defeat, pack of spine and courage. I can forgive pack of ability, bit lack of desire, no way. To suggest pay is a mitigating circumstance is imo not correct,....how about aug-oct as petrov says above.

People arent going to blame lennon. They have there scapegoat already......

We can talk about it costinf the club money to get rid of lennon. Ther is an argument to say, can we afford not to get rid of lennon, for someone else who can assure survival. Or at least make us play with spirit

Won't make any difference at all. Sack him, keep him bolton are going in one direction only. The only way out is for the club to be bought out and all the incompetents who have been masquerading as chairman and board members to be kicked out of the club for evermore.

Vela to Cardiff / Mavies to Boro / Clough will probably be next the likes of wheater and maybe spearing out of contract , only the dross left, so it doesn't really matter who the manager is.
My guess for Boss Deano.

If Lennon goes who is available and more importantly who will come?

My real concern is that the youngsters will be sold for peanuts. £450,00 for Vela! Really?

We have hardly ever been good at taking a profit for a player and now we are in the position where we will be forced to take what we can for all the future stars of the club.
