For official parking just bang OL1 2PA into your Sat Nav and you cant go wrong.
For Train travel check the official site seems to be no direct route as yet. Its rather complicated.

Where to drink:
The Clayton Green is a modern pub/restaurant, about 200 yards from the corner of the main stand and the Chaddy End of the stadium at the bottom of Furtherwood Road.Walking across the road (Chadderton Way) from the Clayton Green brings you to the Rifle Range pub on Burnley Lane, which is about a 10 minutes walk from the stadium. It has a family room, TV screens, food and a beer garden.
If you walk from the stadium to the top of Sheepfoot Lane and turn left at the newspaper shop, the Old Grey Mare pub is about 200 yards down Rochdale Road on the right. Continuing past it brings you to the White Hart pub.
If you turn right at the top of Sheepfoot Lane, eventually you will reach the Queens pub, at the junction of Rochdale Road and Featherstall Road. Across the road from there is the Royal pub, and next door is the Brook Tavern, a larger more modern pub.

So Terriers lets get down and dirty with the 'nitty gritty'
Town of late have struggled at times against an always battling Oldham team who can provide any team a challenge if they put their minds to it. They work hard for each other and have an 'aggresive' style of play.

So the question is.. Will we be out battled again?

Or has this years team got that little bit extra in them to go toe to toe or even better stamp them out the game?

Come 5pm Town fans the answer will be all too clear!

Last season in the Oldham vs TOWN game we went down to a 1-0 defeat, on a day when the performance wont live long in the memory for positive reason, it was indeed deemed one of our worst and most gutless performances of the 2010/11 campaign.
Neither team have had the 'perfect' starts to the season although Huddersfield have clearly had the better start.

So how about a look at the form for the first 5 games:

Oldham L L W W L 6 points
TOWN D D D W W 9 points

Dont forget the terriers are still unbeaten this season. After what seems to have been a dull to poor start to the season with 3 draws in the first 3 games. The last two have seen far more positive results 2 wins with 6 goals scored and 2 conceded, not to be sniffed at im sure you'll agree. In and amongst these league games weve played against Cardiff City in the League cup losing out 5-3 in Extra time and a 2-1 johnstone paints trophy win at Northampton Town.

Town team news:
Only long term injury is Alex Smithies. Damien Johnson is close to being selectable for league action. Liam Ridehalgh is recovering well and nearing a comeback to the team.
No Jordan Rhodes available for this game, hes away with Scotland U21's squad.

My Predicted Starting XI:
Bennett
Hunt ................ McCombe...... Kaye............... Naysmith
Ward................. Miller........... Robinson......... McDermott
........................ Lee ..................Novak ........................

Oldham team news:
The most noteable for us is Nathan Clarke, the Terrier is currently on loan from the Galpharm to Oldham. Hes Started the last 2 league fixture, and scored on his debut to help the latics to a 2-0 victory.
Oldhams probable starting XI
(4-4-1-1): Cisak; Lee, Clarke, Diamond, Black: Morais, Wesolowski, Winchester, Mellor; Taylor; Smith. Subs: Gerrard, M'voto, Smith, Lund, Diallo.

My prediction:
Oldham Athletic 0 TOWN 2

So over to you Terriers and Latics fans...??

loui..
we paid a lot of money for players and we are paying a lot in wages..

that should go a long way to guaranteeing success..

unfortunately it does not, it depends how well the money is spent..

given the wages difference yesterday between the two teams it was very hard to spot the difference in quality and effort..

the confidence should be very high and we should be setting out to win games and win them well. a draw should be what we end up with after trying from minute one to win the game.. not losing seems to be the overriding aim and should we start both halves as poorly as we did yesterday at sheff utd the game could be beyond us very early on..
they just looked a bit shocked that oldham could tackle, shift the ball quickly and support it, whilst playing some good attacking football.. it just seemed to be another day of turning up and standing about hoping the wage bill would win the game..

Talking of time wasting why are goal kicks allowed to be taken from whichever side the kicker wishes? I, unfortunately, remember when this was not the case. However now it is a further tool for time wasters as invariably the dead ball kick is taken from the opposite side to where the ball has gone out of play. Incidentally Oldham yesterday were playing for time even before they were reduced to 10 men - disgraceful for a home side.

That match was there on a plate and we didn't take it , shef u and charlton would have won that game 4.1 .

Your right Loui all the real contenders will beat the likes of Bury, Rochdale n Oldham.
I did not go yesterday so cannot comment on the game nor could i be harsed to listen to the wireless,
A quick check on the scores at half time and the TV in the clubhouse for full time after a nice leisurely game of golf, A nice bit of fresh air, excercise and a laugh for 4 hours for the same price as a ticket to the match to be ripped off watching in reality about 60 mins of footy.

It does not really say much about Lee Clarks record breaking Town sides current performances when 4 of us would rather spend our money playing golf, Indeed if we had not purchased season tickets i am quite sure iwe would be finding something better to do every saturday afternoon and would certainly not be paying the current walk up prices for third tier football.

38,

time wasting . re-my thread in the World Cup on the old board,

The game I timed was a whisker over 22 minutes, Ridiculous .
I called for an independent time keeper too, &................
was shouted darn !

Fact.
The players who put in the most effort in the European games screened by ESPN are credited with 10 kilometres!
others, who come off to be 'sub'd' often come off with a figure of 7 or 8 kms... People (characters on here) told me my idea wasn't workable because they would be Kn4ck4r3d..!
RUBBISH.
These guys are supposed to be 'pros' (don't you dare Loui )
I walk 9kms in 70 minutes...come on! How does it go "TTC"...'It's not rocket science'..

I'm in your camp 38, 90 mins should = 90 mins.

Oh & Jacko,
The point i was trying to make was...Because Sheff United & MK are the pace setters at the moment, & already having a two game advantage over TOWN after 6 games..They are indeed who we have to beat.
To 'reel them back in'. & get closer to their points to games played ratio, I mentioned them as teams because they are 'at the top' & our next two fixtures on the road...IMO Must win games. But with a 4-5-1 formation I just can't see it.
Hope I'm wrong,
