Our record against Hartlepool United in the FA Cup is dismal – 0 wins out of 1 game played as Derby seek to avenge their 2-1 defeat in 1984……
The game is of course overshadowed by the return of Sir Jake of Buxton, a tough, gruff, big-hearted and all round nice guy , who has universal popularity amongst the Derby Faithful – welcome back Jake
NSR will be taking yet another sabbatical as the demands of the Irish Club 🇮🇪 last night take their toll and she is left to wonder whether a tribute song to Keogh and Hendrick was well advised so late on in the evening!!!! ☘☘
Wholesale changes are expected, as we know Thorne and Carson are definitely out but new signing Camara and Blackman could well feature. Other younger players are expected to feature and this may their chance to shine in a squad where not everyone can play every week.
Hartlepool seem to be downplaying their changes and cheerfully expect to lose – great psychology – but this is a one-off and they have nothing to lose. I would not like to see another Crawley . Hartlepool also seem to putting their trust in loan players – Jake Gray and Adam Jackson but apparently are having problems finding a proper centre-half.
Shocks do happen – and one of the conundrums today is lose and go for totally for promotion, win and risk mundane FA fixtures snarling up the League campaign……decisions…..decisions……
Team news once Mojaca fires up his Rams Player …..please?
Derby County: Mitchell, Shotton, Buxton, Pearce, Warnock; Baird, Hanson, Bryson; Blackman, Camara, Bent
Substitutes: Grant, Christie, Russell, Butterfield, Weimann, Ssewankambo, Bennett

Don't know what Vidal knows About Spart's eyesight. Medical confidentiality must come in somewhere but I thought Camara was as different as chalk to cheese from Tom Ince. He looks a great prospect to me and with Martin or Bent or Blackman in the middle we surely could recover our goal scoring return.
However, it was against lowly Hartlepool.

Talking of medical conditions, this week there were two of the strangest tales I have ever heard where I work. I just need to check with the GMC and clarify whether if I don't actually mention Spart by name it still constitutes a breach of confidentiality. All I will say for now is that it's amazing what people get up to during the long winter months if there's nothing on telly.

I saw very little of the game as I was at old Trafford taunting the locals but camara looked pacey and direct which is pleasing.
How was Bryson? Blackman?

Yup, I irritated all three of them!
They were shocking, the atmosphere was dire (except the Sheffield fans who were excellent) and the penalty and subsequent victory was a travesty.
Anyway, how were we more importantly?
