I live near there and it's absolutely tanking down, be surprised if it's not called off

Thanks for this - Bobby - last I heard, it was definitely going ahead but thanks for the heads-up of local knowledge

As far as I am concerned this is a mid season friendly. Not bothered whether we we win or lose but don't want a draw and don't want any injuries.

Not sure I agree. We are on a 1 match losing streak and need to halt the slide. For me it is about momentum, confidence, about driving our enemies before us, and hearing the lamentation of their women

Not sure about the state of the pitch but I hear there are definitely puddles on it.

Don't you know Heb, momentum is conserved. It cannot be destroyed. One of the basic rules of the universe.

This is definitely not a friendly. We won't beat Man U 0-3 without winning this game.

Thanks God Spart ain't doing the team talk. "Play where you want and don't worry about losing".

Is this the right time to ask whether it should be "Hartlepools" or "Hartlepool"? Apparently they dropped the "s" in 1968 which seems a bit of a disgrace. I don't know why more fuss hasn't been made about it. Also is H'Angus still officially the mayor? He was famously thrown out of the ground on a number of occasions for performing his duties while drunk and simulating various salacious activities with both a female steward and a blow-up doll. Jeff Stelling has a lot to answer for.

Unbelieveable Jeff.

With my team talk we would probably win by 6 or 7 goals. The players wouldn't be confused by all this 2W formation nonsense and instead play to their ability.

I don't agree with you Spart, I would like the Rams to win the FA Cup in my lifetime.

I think it is important to try to win every match and we must not let Hartlepool(s) win. When I go to Wembley this year I don't want it to be for a play off final.

Jeff Stelling - "game definitely going ahead, good news for travelling fans"

Did I say we should lose. I want to win but not really bothered if we don't. Our best chance of winning the cup in your lifetime is to become a Premiership club. Recent history has shown that if you hang around in the first tier long enough your chance comes round. Think Portsmouth and Wigan.

It's stopped raining and I've just seen a photo of the pitch. Looking good so deffo on.

I'll carry on making lunch now.

Oh, the wonders of the Internet.

VC10, I would also like the Rams to win the FA Cup in my lifetime.

Oh, wait a minute...........

Don't know much about the basic laws of momentum/the universe but I do know that "tier" is a grossly over-used buzz word. Almost as irritating as beginning sentences with "so"

Carrying on with the conversation from last night about the Auks. What is throwing them off course. Is it that El Niño fella?

Spart I want to get to the premier as well, with the money we've spent it is a nailed on cert. I just want to win the cup as well.

You have lived all this time and haven't found out that you can't always have what you want.
