The scout is largely Barry Fry.

Posh don't employ any external scouts, apart from one in Ireland who has found a couple of good ones lately.

Fry, other coaches and the chairman himself do most of the leg work.

Having just secured Bridcutt, don't see why we're looking at a defensive midfielder when central defence and attack are where we need improving.

Excellent point VOF - we've signed more dross than decent in the last 5 or 6 years. Talent scout most definitely needed.
