Champions League Final 2006 - Arsenal v Barcelona
Arsenal having beaten AC Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid had their name on the Cup only for a moment of madness from Jens Lehman on 17 minutes, when he brought down the last man and was sent off. 70 minutes against Barca with 10 men - no chance.
Champions League Quarters Second Leg 2011 - Arsenal v Barcelona
Arsenal leading 3-2 on aggregate in the Nou Camp were looking good - only for Van Persie to receive a second yellow card for shooting after the whistle. With a crowd of 90,000 he had not heard the whistle. Losing our captain and best player before halftime was fatal.
Don't fight it - football is a game of 11 v 11.
Safe to say that put Giroud back on in front of Sanchez, Ozil and Walcott and defences will be breached.
Onwards!

The van Bronckhurst red in that game was ridiculous

I'm not someone who subscribes to the ridiculous notion that "refs have it in for us" like so many of the tarts on here, but that red card (was Paul Durkin the referee?) was one of the worst decisions in premier league history. A truly woeful decision.
Still, one of the best 10 man performances I think I've seen from any side. That side had everything Wenger blabbs on about now in order to try and convince his merry band of fairy's; mental resolve in the bucket load.

It was special but it was partly due to Liverpool trying to play football too.
Yesterday we needed Chelsea to push on so that we could play counter. They locked up shop as they do best.

Remember when Diaby was sent off for the 1st half and Arsenal conceded two goals, but came back and won 3-2 at Bolton. I know Bolton is a small side, but those times they're one of our bogey teams and the players fought hard.

I think I read that in the early days of Wenger when Arsenal were quite often down to 10 men, they practiced 11 v 10 in training.
