In the good old days we would have got a result yesterday
The van Persie one was mental. UEFA couldn't let their golden boys be knocked out.
We have discipline issues imo if not naïveté

Yeah, the days when we had dibs on every player coming from france who United did want or know of.
The red card doesn't pisss me off. Flamini distracting Kos for the goal really grinds my gears.
Mr Pointy undid Arsene's decision to remove Giroud and play off the counter by that single action. And then went to the other end to show us his best Zlatan impressions

Yeah, now we have to make do with £42m and £35m signings

2001/02 - Anfield. We'd won once there in the premier league era, hadn't scored a goal there in 5 years, were reduced to 10 men fairly early and went on to play some sublime stuff in going 2-0 up (including possibly my favourite Arsenal goal of all time - Pires ripping Gerrard a enw one and crossing for Ljungberg to steal in at the near post. Wonderful goal, great commentary from Tyler).
Conceded an early 2nd half goal to Litmanen and faced the inevitable onslaught yet didn't waver and battened down the hatchet and held on for a monumental win (I think this came shortly after a home reverse to Newcastle who were title rivals at the time).
Great team, great times. Still mystifies me as to why Wenger, in terms of his sides physical and mental make-up has veered so far away from that and all we are treated to now is a bevvy of nappy wetters and bottlers.
The van Bronckhurst red in that game was ridiculous

I'm not someone who subscribes to the ridiculous notion that "refs have it in for us" like so many of the tarts on here, but that red card (was Paul Durkin the referee?) was one of the worst decisions in premier league history. A truly woeful decision.
Still, one of the best 10 man performances I think I've seen from any side. That side had everything Wenger blabbs on about now in order to try and convince his merry band of fairy's; mental resolve in the bucket load.

It was special but it was partly due to Liverpool trying to play football too.
Yesterday we needed Chelsea to push on so that we could play counter. They locked up shop as they do best.
We don't get enough reds, they're gold dust
Remember when Diaby was sent off for the 1st half and Arsenal conceded two goals, but came back and won 3-2 at Bolton. I know Bolton is a small side, but those times they're one of our bogey teams and the players fought hard.

I think I read that in the early days of Wenger when Arsenal were quite often down to 10 men, they practiced 11 v 10 in training.
