A great film but more importantly a point of importance in the race for top 4. Up until today arsenal seemed to be in meltdown and liverpool were crowing about getting top 4 again. But after today, with the arrivals at arsenal and the departures at livpl, has the pendulum swung back to the emirates?
Let's look at the possible teams
Arsenal
======
-----------------------Szczesny
Sagna-----Koscielny-----Vermaelen----Santos
---------------------Song------Wilshere
---------------------------Arteta-----------------
--Walcott/Chmbrln----------RVP/Park--------Gervinho/Miyachi
-----------------------Szczesny
Koscielny-----Mertesacker-----Djourou----Gibbs
-------------------Frimpong------Ramsey
---------------------------Benayoun
---Walcott/Chmbrlin------Park--------Miyaichi/Gervinho
Liverpool
=======
-----------------------------Reina
Kelly/Skrtel------Carra--------Agger--------Enrique
Hendy------------Lucas--------Adam-------Downing
--------------------Kuyt-----------Suarez------------------
-----------------------------Reina
Kelly/Skrtel------Carra--------Agger--------Enrique
----------------Lucas---------------Adam-------------------
Hendy------------------Gerrard---------------Downing
---------------------------Carrol/Bellamy---------------------
Pretty well matched but while Liverpool have suffered a body blow with the loss of two creative sparks in Aquilani and Meireles; Arsenal seem to have strengthened in all the right areas. This along with a more seasoned and experienced manager who has consistently got arsenal into the top 4 will give them the clear edge. Funny old game football

but you personally, quoted that you wouldn't want to see him leave for anything less than 20 million?

Did you read why I said that?
My comment was based on the time he handed in transfer request which as of that time was thought to be around 30mins before end of transfer window.
I now know he handed it in around Monday and would've still preferred it if he stayed. Looks like he wasn't in Kenny's plan though...

Not so sorry to see meireles go...indifferent. Was a good player for us and scored that goal against chelsea when it mattered to us. Think he's a good signing, but more of a supersub then a game starter! Well done though that you managed to get him and keep Sturridge.

So he's technically a reject...

What a lot of people dont realise is that we made all our signings throughout the course of the transfer window, with timing and consideration given to each target beforehand. While arsenal have made some very good signings, its all been very rushed and i have no idea how long its going to take wenger to get them all clicking together. I think arsenal will drop quite a few more points over the next few weeks but when you find your form things will go well. I actually felt sorry for you all this last week....good to see most of you are back to your insufferable old selves!

Also Raul didn't play CM under Kenny and don't think he would've played there after the signing of Adam.

Isn't Doni Brazilian? Aurelio?
Also Spanish and Portuguese are very similar so he could understand Suarez, Maxi, etc.

Ahh yes they are a momentary lapse of reason! However, spanish people find portuguese very very difficult!

Great to see Kenny removing players who are surplus:
Meireles
Cole
Aquilani
Krygiakos
Poulsen
N'Gog
Degen
Insua
Steve Staunton
Removing these players from the training ground and only having those 100% committed to Liverpool is exactly what we were all calling for a while back. Training must be great now and I pleased for Staunton getting a place at Sunderland.

Raul was/is handy, but he is no major loss.
