I know that this sounds like a strange question to ask, but with all the rumours of him being chased by Man U, Chelsea etc.it got me wondering about the impact on Spurs if he did indeed leave anytime soon.
Our whole setup and current great form is based on Poch's philosophy (I hate using that word!). Very few managers would have taken a chance on our youngsters as Poch has. Would a replacement manager (whoever that might be) continue along the same lines? I very much doubt it. He would always be compared to Poch and there would be real pressure to achieve instant results and hence to sign mediocre players.
Poch has instilled a great spirit in the squad and the players clearly respond to him and work hard for him both during games and in training. Academy players know that if they perform well they have a real chance of breaking through to the senior squad. Also, when we seek to sign exciting young prospects (such as Mousa Demble II) they are attracted to our club because they know what Poch can do for their careers. As a result of all of this, the future looks very bright indeed under Poch
It does worry me that it could all go up in smoke if Poch was to leave anytime soon.
My answer to my own question is yes, we are over reliant on him.
However, that is not a bad thing if he turns out to be a long term manager with us. Therefore, it is imperative that Levy does all he can to make Poch feel that he can achieve all his ambitions with us, rather than going to a "big" named club. That will entail giving him a lucrative contract AND backing him in the transfer market., whenever he feels the need to strengthen the squad.

Are We Over Reliant on Poch?

I would not like to Klinsmann at WHL next season, because that would mean POch has gone elsewhere.
We need to do everything possible to hang on to him for at least another two seasons & then if he wants let him go and manage Real or Barca!

Dunno why Brendan is still out of work. His stock is getting pushed up with every poor Klopp result.

he won't be when he's Spurs manager come June

He can come in and manage the catering if he wants.

Genius Greaves
Yes normally it would be. However I think there has been a considerable change of policy & thought at the club.
I really do think Levy has seen that firing a manager too soon adversely affects the club & inevitably can actually take us backwards.
I also think, whether by good judgement or luck, the club now has a coach who has transformed the team & no longer are we a soft touch as in the past few years.
Only when a club comes in and guarantees a manager 3-4 years tenure to build and develop the club can anyone take any job in the PL with full confidence they will be given the time needed.

I disagree. If Poch hadn’t have worked out over a 12-18 month period, then he would have been shown the door.
Thankfully, everything is going tickety boo at the moment but I think we would be naive to think Levy has mellowed or had a change of heart over sacking under achieving managers.

I don't think it, or want it to happen, but if the worst came to it I'd be all over Eddie Howe

I think he is cut from the same jib.
I've been really impressed by him and Bournemouth. They play some lovely stuff, and he comes across as a very grounded individual. No ego. I think our players would play for him.

Flores is doing a fine job at Watford too.

For all this talk of United being gung ho sacking managers we've only fired one in close to 30 years....
If you are as gung ho as we are when it comes to sacking managers that means you are very reluctant to do it.
The media have fired LVG several times admittedly, United bear no responsibility for that.

I get your point OP, but if anything he's geared towards what the club are about rather than the other way round. Should he go at whatever point, if our philosophy is as it is right now, we hire a like-minded replacement. Same as how Swansea have recruited managers over the last 7-8 years.
