I honestly don't know how you've ended up being so poor, I mean liverpool have sold their best players and replaced them with potential, which hasn't worked.
And yet utd sacked Moyes got the man they wanted flexed their financial might and if anything are worse.
Terrible to watch, can't defend and possibly have a worse squad then when Moyes took over.
Their inly hope us to bring in mourinho and give him an open cheque book, but even with their money can't keep spending limitless money year in year.
What has happened to UTD

Fergie left a crap side as his legacy. Really poor future planning
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Fergie's just a victim of his own talent. How was he to know he left a poor team behind if he was able to get a PL title out of them?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He got a title out of the old guard, this lot were the bench mostly
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They still had Jones, Januzaj, Smalling, Cleverley, Welbeck, Evans, Hernandez, Rafael. Rooney, RVP with a few years left in them. They wouldn't have needed a complete makeover based on the team Fergie left. Just a few additions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
other than Smalling, all those listed are squad types and/or were declining rapidly.
Fergie well and truly feccked them on the way out

you're mental
DDG, Smalling, Shaw (when his leg heals), Mata, Rooney, Martial, even CBJ would improve you
Sturridge? don't make me laugh, he'll be sold in summer if Klopp can find a buyer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
to be honest the only one's I would take DDG and Martial and Rooney don't make me laugh he'll be sold as soon as Chinese come knocking.

Neither us nor United can realistically claim any credibility this season, with one big difference. I really was surprised by their performance against Sunderland today; it put our result in perspective. There was no combination, plan, teamwork, nothing from them. To listen to both Rooney AND LVG, they've each given up the fight. I never thought I'd ever hear Wayne speaking in such a despondent manner; downcast sent the word.
The one difference for us? When it's clicked this season, Chelsea, City, Southampton we really did look the business, unstoppable, triumphant, fantastic to watch.
No wum, but can anyone name a similar form United has shown this season?

Wayne's heart has never been at United, for him it was just a career opportunity.
He's wanted out multiple times

tbd you had these sporadic performances under rodgers, even went close to winning the title, albeit with better players

No point in these articles on your board, or one about Pool on the United ones. Few can be objective and most want to score points.

"Southampton we really did look the business, unstoppable, triumphant, fantastic to watch."
this is one of those false positives so to speak
every year there are clubs that go on runs, players get goals of the month, and everyone who doesn't want reality to be reality harps on about.......
but 9/10 they finish below the 'big' clubs even when they're diabolical, horrendous, awful, and 'the worst they've been in decades'.
in hindsight, even when the big clubs pilfer the flavour of the season, they end up with something less than expected

We are both poor.
We go from sublime to ridiculous, the good is better, but the bad is worse.
Utd are more consistent. Consistently dull, harder to beat than we are but relentlessly boring even in most of their wins.
Neither team can claim their side/squad is miles better than the other. There's not a lot in it.
Utd have the better quality experienced players in Rooney, Mata, Carrick, Schweiny, and obviously DDG is miles better than Mignolet.
The rest of the squads are similar. Some promising young talent, Martial looks good, some of the young defenders have been decent, I think Depay is better than he's shown. We have Can, Coutinho, Origi all under 24 with a lot of potential.
Both teams need an injection of 24-28 year old proven high quality. Utd have the greater funds to get them in, but don't seem to have much of a plan off the pitch. We have a better plan but have executed it poorly. It remains to be seen whether Klopp can improve our buying, I suspect he can.
If Utd get Mourinho it will be interesting. He could do great very quickly. Then again it could to Clough at Leeds.

I for one am so happy with LVG, for me he is the best thing to happen to Utd since Moyes left. It's great to see there form is up and down as well as Chelsea. For me its made the league exciting again. Add to that the form of city and Arsenal most of the teams not in the top 4 consistently must be living it.
