Morning chaps.
With the shambolic first half of the season that Chelsea had, I must admit, my concerns are growing that they might actually finish above us come the seasons end. Our results remain quite unpredictable, whereas Hiddink seems to have steadied the sinking ship that was Chelsea. They've managed to score some late goals recently to salvage points recently. Even though Terry was offside for his goal vs Everton, fact is the goal was given.
Having looked at the remaining fixtures for both teams, I have predicted how many points both teams will accumulate below.
United:
H v Arsenal - 1 point
H v Watford - 3 points
A v WBA - 1 point
H v Palace - 3 points
A v Man City - 0 points
H v Everton - 1 point
A v Spurs - 0 points
H v Villa - 3 points
A v WHU - 0 points
H v Leicester - 1 point
A v Norwich - 3 points
H v Bournemouth - 3 points
Total remaining points - 19
Overall total - 60 points
Chelsea:
A v Southampton - 1 point
A v Norwich - 3 points
H v Stoke - 3 points
A v Liverpool - 0 points
H v WHU - 3 points
A v Villa - 3 points
A v Swansea - 1 point
H v Man City - 1 point
A v Bournemouth - 3 points
H v Spurs - 3 points
A v Sunderland - 1 points
H v Leicester - 3 points
Total remaining points - 25
Overall total - 58 points
Now,
I know I have us finishing ahead by 2 points, and I don't think the above points totals are inconceivable, but it looks a darn sight closer than what it should be.
What are your opinions?
Growing concerns...

The many times we've been outfought this season, by what should be inferior competition, has been staggering. I can take being outplayed all day long, but to be second to every ball is what sickened me most about that performance at Sunderland.

Bit of a doomsday scenario, but can't see it happening tbh.
Firstly, at least for the time being they're likely to prioritise the two competitions they still have a chance of winning.
Granted that they could well be knocked out of both in the near future, but looking at their league form, they might be unbeaten in 9, but they've only actually collected 15 points from those games, winning just 3. Imo, they'd need to collect points at a much higher rate than that to stand any chance.
Your season looks as if it's panning out to be a pretty dismal one, but at this point you should still be looking up the table rather than down.

That's fair enough, and anything can happen. However, when you hear the negativity coming from the manager and the players, and their acceptance that Europa League is the best way back into the CL, it unfortunately filters down to the majority of fans.
I agree, they should be more fully focused on looking up the table and trying to catch City, or whoever, and remedying their league form, producing a solid run of results. It appears that's beyond this team though. I don't think they have the stomach for the fight.

You're obviously much more in the know than me about that. I did however hear an interview with Ander Herrera on Spain's Radio Marca a week or so ago, and he certainly made all the right noises about their ambitions for the season, actually hinting at the hope of still being able to make a title push. Perhaps he's one of a kind though, I can't say.
What I would say though is that City look to me to be more likely to suffer a mini-implosion than Chelsea are of making up such a big difference on you guys.
If that were the case, you have every reason to keep on fighting. Six points at this stage is still a more than bridgeable gap.

I like Ander, he's always full of optimism whenever I read interviews. This season though, it's been an all too common theme for players to come out, usually Rooney, and say that the blame lies with the players because they are the ones out on the pitch. It's almost a weekly occurrence now.
Instead of coming out and trying to deflect blame away from the manager, how about you players pull up your socks, roll up your sleeves, and put in the hard work.

Yeah I gathered that's what you meant
Depends on whether Sturridge and Coutinho are available. Firmino is finding his feet now too and looks talented. It could be a great game to watch.
Thing is, I don't think Chelsea will go the rest of the league season unbeaten. They could lose one, even possibly two. Away to Saints won't be easy either, so even 1 point from those 6 isn't impossible.
