My weigh in on the ticket prices debate

Been a lot of ticket price controversy recently, particularly with the PSG home game, here is my opinion:

There have been several articles from the MEN and the 1894 group moaning about the £60 ticket prices which isnt fair on the club:

The £60 is the highest possible price anybody can pay for a non "corporate seat", season ticket holders and cityzens get £5 off, so the only people who would ever pay £60 are tourists and a few locals who would argue they can't afford a season ticket or cityzens membership.

My point towards these few fans based in manchester who can't afford season tickets or cityzens membership (which I agree is very overpriced given that all you get is access to buy tickets) is if you are moaning that PSG at home is too expensive, i bet there majority of you werent there for Hull or Palace in the cup for £5 or even a cup semi final v everton for £15 so you have little right to start moaning that PSG is too expensive when you wont even attend when prices are very cheap.

As a season ticket holder that goes to a lot of away games and nearly all cup games, and as a student, so living on a tight budget compared to most people earning a wage, I am more than happy to pay what the club is charging for PSG.

Of course, as an 18-21, i get a slight discount on the tickets, my seat for PSG cost £40 compared to my Dad's £55..

But, an adult can get a seat for £40 for PSG which seems very reasonable for a champions league quarter final second leg.

This is cheaper than nearly all premier league away games for city fans and not too far off most fans average price for home games.

I understand people want tickets as cheap as possible, but i think fans that are complaining are being pretty unfair on the club as £40 for a champions league quarter final 2nd leg is a fair price.

Would be interested to hear what you lot reckon?

Because I work full time and earn above national average wage and I cant afford to go away. I can barely afford my home ticket anymore. My ST is £800 for just 19 home games. And cup games usually take it close to a grand.

My season card cost £2500

If you earn above national wage, and can't afford to go to away matches, you've got your priorities all wrong.

£2,500 is averaging out at less than £50 a game this season in what I imagine are prime seats at every match.

I reckon you're pretty bang on Ali, but at the same time most would agree no match day ticket should cost more than 30-40 pounds. I guess that's a slightly bigger and different conversation.

P.s keep it clean stetty it's the anniversary of Jesus fooking resurrection. Show some respect.
