Hi Everyone,
Since we all are cricket lovers; I wanted your input regarding any changes in teams you would prefer or which players you think are not fit in this format or their time is up. Congrats to West Indies and England too for reaching final.
My two cents starting from:
1. England- Time for Morgan to give up captaincy. England fans who would you suggest though? I know some folks are gunning for Stokes but he is young and has the potential to improve just like Broad did.
2. My team India- Where to start! Time for Dhoni to retire as he has hurt our Test team and his stubborn selection in all formats for last few years. Also he is not the same player he used to be. I hope Yuvraj hangs up his boots. Time for Raina to be kicked out from our team. Need power hitters like Windies have!
3. Pakistan- Afridi should be shown door ASAP from their team. Players like Umar Akmal, Shoib Malik are past their prime and they need to nurture young talent and also may be huge changes in their cricket board. Pak fans can better give their insight.
4. West Indies- Nothing as they are amazing in this format. However they got issues with their board and players salary etc.
5. New-Zealand- They are very strong team but seems to choke at semi-final stages.
6. South Africa- On paper they look so strong but they are not able to convert that in World-Cup tournaments.
7. Australia- They are good team but they lack decent spinners and their selection too seems strange sometimes in this particular format.
8.Sri Lanka- They lack the talent and also they need to be more stable in their selections. After Sanga, Mahela they are struggling big time with Malinga no more the bowler he was due to his injuries.
9.Bangladesh- They look lot improved from last few years in shorter formats but still they have a long way to go in my opinion.
10. Afghanistan- They proved that associated teams need to be given lot more chances at-least in shorter formats. Time for ECB, BCCI, CA to support these Nations or just scrap this big three bull.
My humble request to please be civil and respect every opinion here from different backgrounds.
Cheers!
Post-Mortem of Teams after World Cup T20..

Duncan really appreciate your input. You do put some amazing points regarding Australia and in general regarding cricket. Lot of folks don't realize here that many Indians prefer our team to do well in tests but due to our bloody useless board and their mind boggling selections has done serious damage. I know they will argue that due to IPL things have massively changed but you can compare it to fast food for decent cricket fans there. There are ways to improvise popularity in India regarding tests by our board but that's a whole different topic. I have a gut feeling that tests will remain in future along with T20s but ODIs may vanish or vastly reduced. Just my opinion and I don't want some of my frnds here get worked up.

I do like T20 but will always be a Test can.
It drives he insane watching a big standard Test player like Samuels walking around like he's Bradman because of one good innings in a slog off final.
T20 is more nerve wracking and closer and similar to fast paced world of football.

SA confidence was shot after losing against England that's why they stuffed up. They also keep chopping and changing the line up.
Players like Roussoue and Miller are just not performing and if AB/Amla don't do anything the rest are like cannot fodder at times. I don't see anything special about Morris either he's average IMO. Steyn obviously looked out of sortd due to lack of match practice.
Core team should be - DeKock, Amla, AB, DuPlessis, Tahir, Rabada and Steyn. That leaves about 4-5 spots up for grabs IMO.

Boss good points for SA but I think overall your team always choke in World Cup tournaments. It's strange as you have some really strong players and this time I think AB also messed up as a captain. Do u think the captaincy is affecting his game? If so then who would you prefer instead of him.

Ahh Narine's action cleared for IPL
Money talks bullsh**t walks as usual. We keep on helping foreign players and play same useless players like Raina, Dhawan but ignore real upcoming talents. West Indies should thank IPL for winning the World Cup!!
This IPL has hurt more to us than helping & destroyed our test team and we are just plain mediocre in ODIs. Only God can help us now..

Fact taker basically Pakistan need an entire new squad! Late 2007 up until 2012 we had done pretty well in ODI and T20 Cricket but ever since been an absolute joke! Amir, Hafeez probably the only real decent players at the moment and hopefully with Yasir Shah back that will give Pakistan decent spin options.
With England I think Morgan is a decent captain, England have turned things around in the past year and have performed very well in ODI and T20, a very good squad. Just a shame they couldn't top it up with a victory! that final still very much hurts! I admit his form has been below par but only a matter of time before he sorts it out.
With India I think Dhoni is a good captain and I believe it would be harsh to sack him. India are still getting very far in tournaments. I guess though Indian fans would have expected India to have won at least one of the last 3 tournaments. I believe India have been lacking decent pace bowlers in recent years. Once that has been rectified then you will continue to be a major force and go further! Is Kohli as good as Tendulkar in your opinion?

Well said Arsenal.. I get your view and understand about our team especially with Dhoni. To be very frank average Indian cricket fan hates BCCI n I don't blame them. The resources we have and the result doesn't match even half of it. Regarding Dhoni we are upset as he keeps on giving chances to players like Raina etc and messed up some upcoming talent. Glad our bowling looks better as new talent like Bumrah performing well.
Your Pakistan team is still doing decent compared to resources and issues they are dealing with. Top it off with some very wrong selections have hurt your team. It's my pleasure to see a bowler like Amir bowling and I believe in second chances. He was very young too when he messed up so that be taken into consideration. However I will never prefer players like Sreesanth, Asif, Salman butt etc as they are just pure evil..
Virat got long ways to go to prove that he is even close to Sachin. He has to perform in England and be consistent for next ten years or so & then may be we can compare to Sachin. Remember how some England fans rushed about Cooky that he is better than Sachin. In brief only time will tell my Frnd!
