Well, the Hillsborough jury was sent out to deliberate at 14:05 today and, hopefully, we might get somewhere this time.
However, I'm completely appalled by what I have just read. After all the enquiries and the general agreement that the Liverpool fans did not cause the crush, the press are allowed to print this shiiiiit.

Stretford ender there are some abrupt questions asked of your previous comments.
Will you answer or are you afraid they challenge what you've been brought up to believe?

This idiot being interviewed by the St Helens rag said that control was taken away from the police.. But by his admission he :
Didnt have any training on crowd control
No queue lines or barriers were installed
He made a decision that increased the flow of people to the turnstiles
He didn't ask for kick off to be postponed
They opened the gates to let everyone in
They never had control in the first place, not a semblance of it.
It's a disgrace.

No evidence of ticketless fans whatsoever. The blame is purely at the hands of the police and The FA. If justice is done Duckenfield must be tried for manslaughter and McKenzie must be tried for perverting the cause of justice. Both must also be made to serve out their sentence at Walton.

If you want absolute resolution on Hillsborough then surely every claim has to be questioned and answered?
And to report it is not agreeing with it or promoting it as a correct theory, imo.

Of course you would question the role the fans had that day, otherwise it wouldn't be a fair inquest. They have to look at everything.

Of course. And they have done. The article itself didn't annoy me, it was the guy above talking about ticketless fans.
Even if there were, which there's no evidence of, the ground wasn't full so it had no effect on anything.

Indeed, ticketless fans or not, the capacity wasn't reached, they were just in the wrong areas due to mistakes from the police. Hopefully the families will finally get the closure they deserve.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the questions being asked. The intention is to get some final closure on the whole issue. You can't do that without addressing every question associated with that day.

Just to clarify one very important thing.
The last enquiry found that the total number of fans in the ground wall pretty much the same as the number of tickets sold.

Even this report 10 years ago highlights that it was known that the crush was not related to the number of fans in the Leppings Lane end but the 3000 fans "corralled" into pens meant to safely hold 1200.
The police have since had to agree with this during the inquest.
So how does that tally with "Ticketless fans"?
It doesn't
