What a difference a ref makes !!

As much as it goes against my natural instincts, and i know it is easy to praise after a comfortable win, but the performance of Clattenburg yesterday was a total contrast from the one we suffer last week.
Thought he had a great game, but the difference was his relationship with the players he showed then respect , and they returned it.
He was up with the play , and had a good understanding of the game.
There was a good deal of interaction with the players, and you could see respect on both sides.
He wasnt perfect , and let a few yellows go to keep the game flowing.
Drinkwater could have been booked for a challenge that was far worse than Vardys first card last week.
He didnt want to give a card unless he felt it was warranted.
Even Ranieri made a point of congratulating him for his performance.
Surely the sweet FA should realise what a big mistake they made last week in letting their top refs go on a course, and leaving us with the odious apology for a ref that we had to endure.
Clattenburg was in a totally different league to Moss, and so he should be.
One is going to do well at the Euros, and the other should be pt down a few leagues to where he belongs.

Yes, I think that's obvious to us all...

Well when you get told the most ridiculous things to justify VArdy's actions you feel inclined to respond

One man's opinion is another man's potato.

Vardy's hearing is taking place right now apparently, so we'll see what the FA think of it - which is the only opinion that counts for us at the end of the day.

The hearing is over his reaction, nothing to do with the dive

Or are you expecting them to rescind the second yellow?

It might come across like I don't want you to win the league and that couldn't be further from the truth, I really hope you do, I just got annoyed seeing so many ridiculous posts about Moss, people saying he should never ref again FFS

He'd a bad game but you still got decisions in your favor, that's what annoyed me, seeing so many fans act like all he did was try stop you winning when his incorrect decision at the death won you a point.

Most supporters are moaning at what a terrible ref he is and what an inept performance it was. West Ham supporters would have just as valid a moan as well.

And Moss has history with us, regardless of the Vardy incident, that is definitely true.

You only had to watch Clattenburg's performance yesterday - he was streets ahead of Moss.

Yeah, Vardee dived. You need to admit this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No he didn't, his legs were tangled so how can it possibly be a dive? Iwobi and Elneny both dived!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His legs got tangled after he threw them into the defender, explain why all of a sudden he decided to step to his right? Is that the move a striker would normally do?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He stepped in front to get in front of him and to draw contact but it wasn't a dive and it wasn't a yellow card.

Explain why the same ref failed to produce a yellow when Iwobi and Elneny blatantly dived without any contact at all? If you can explain that and justify why Vardy received a yellow and neither Arsenal player did then I'll be very interested to hear it.

The fact is he chose to book Vardy for drawing contact and not diving but failed to book Iwobi and Elneny having received no contact and blatantly diving. If that's not bias against us then I don't know what is!

You're also not taking into account the ridiculous sending off for Schmeichel at Forest when he received a second yellow for kicking the ball to the half way line after we conceded a penalty that never was.

We also had two blatant penalties denied before he gave the soft one on Schlupp.

Also the penalty that was awarded to West Ham was really soft as well. Reid flung himself forward after being pulled back when he should have fallen backwards, he dived and made the most of it. It wasn't a penalty.

Moss is an awful referee and isn't fit to officiate!

What can't be argued is the clear respect that both players and fans had for the way Clattenburg managed the game yesterday.

Moss lost the players after 10 mins, and the fans after about 13. That is the sign of a woeful referee.

It was such a relief to see Clattenburg manage the game so well yesterday. Was consistent with both his awards and cards. All you can ask for really.
