So we're supposed to swallow that you were unable to offload players that were good enough to achieve promotion in the end. I know there is wages/contracts but come on you can't seriously believe that you couldn't have done more.

We sold anything we could to stay afloat at the time and it eventually led to us being relegated. Leicester took a different approach and this is why the Football League decided to implement points deductions when a team enters administration.

Ray - you're missing an important factor. We had peter Taylor as manager. He locked in the likes of izzet on ridiculous contracts, literally doubling his wages. Players who could be sold - like savage, were.

I will find the post from one of our creditors at the time which details the lengths the club went to in order to offload players on prem wages.

We very nearly went out of business completely.

Leicester’s 2013-14 accounts state they spent £36m on players’ wages, £5m more than the club’s entire income

Just ignore that though Blackstar.

I won't call you a fool, not my style

£36m was our total staff wage bill i believe, so includes more than just players wages. I will double check.

One thing i do know is that £9m of that figure represents a one off payment of promotion bonuses though

So you're working on a false premise if you are assuming that £36m represents our annual players wage bill which the club worked hard to reduce to fall in line with ffp. That includes getting rid of Beckford, mills, Neil danns etc.

That figure alone doesn't show that because the promotion bonuses are added in.

We'll have to agree to disagree BS, it feels like a discussion that will defend anything with their club which I certainly cba with.
