Not really that surprising is it? Fawaz is a total tool. He is incapable of running a club in any way!
Although maybe the takeover caused a problem?
I reckon the Greek put the kybosh on it as they want their own manager.
Although Pearson is probably a decent choice; this particular tool was calling Clement one of the worlds best coaches this time last year
Suggestion has been that while the take over has been going on Fawaz has been looking at potential managers, I guess the likes of Pearson are his list. It wouldn't surprise me if he either had the brakes put on by the new guys or just did a Fawaz
He probably likes to play elongated games of Boy Scout-Your Out...
The dumb fecker posts a picture to Forest fans on Twitter with a caption "it's our year" and someone who look intellectually challenged. Which fan(s) does that better apply to in more than one way?
Has absolutely no self awareness
Twitter has been his biggest mistake amongst all the others.
Twitter has been a lot of people's biggest mistake.
If we did speak to Pearson (probable) and didn't get back to him then either Fawaz didn't think he was the man for the job or more likely the Greeks wanted to do the choosing.
Fackwit is over in Brazil to see if Socrates is available.
It's deffo all Greek to him.
The only reason he didn't get back to Pearson was because he was having laundry done.
Might scrape a single digit position in the league next season if you keep Britt.

McGovern has laughed off suggestions of Evans...

McGubbins is part of the problem. It was his genius idea to appoint Stuart Pearce and allegedly persuaded Fawaz that a fan favourite was needed.
McGubbins? Have a bit not respect. Red's legend.

As a player sure, so was pearce
As an advisor he's proving to be as incompetent as Pearce was in management
You don't need great players of yesteryear when you're up sheet creek

Bit harsh though isn't it. Pearce didn't do a good job as manager and probably showed management isn't for him. However no manager has exactly excelled under the current owner so it's hard to assess just how bad it was.
There's no evidence that Fawaz listens to any advice so it's harsh to say McGovern is doing a bad job. If he was involved in the Dougie appointment then you can't really criticise him for that.
Anyway, good to see you're back into criticising everything Forest do mode

Club ambassador he's not our club advisor.....
He doesn't have a say on who gets appointed
Caniggia - how can i not be in critical mode? I can only think of Blackpool and Leeds as having worse owners....there isn't much to be positive about.
If you get Garcia though then that would be a very shrewd move imo

It makes me laugh, this. What have folks got against Evans. He has a good win percentage and has achieved 8 promotions.
Some are suggesting Garry Monk would be better. WTF? One team managed, no promotion experience and a poor win percentage.
Evans is not top of my list, but other than his gob, we could do a lot worse.
Absolute proof that Strett needs professional help.....
Steve Evans now being justified as a decent potential appointment. That's worse than when you made out Chris O'Grady was a good signing...
Strett has just explained why it wouldn't be a terrible appointment. People dislike Evans because he's gobby and fat let's face it. To be fair he did a decent job at Leeds under the circumstances. Much like Dougie really.
I think there are other worse owners than Fawaz. You can be as critical as you like of course. But we all could go around slagging off Leicester for having a racist striker and U21 players. We don't but we could.
Where did I say CoG was a good signing?
If you care to remember correctly or you, more likely failed to understand, I stated that the Antonio sale and the subsequent acquisition of CoG was good business when under embargo.
You know all about what a punishment is from football governance, being a Leicester fan and all.

How morally estute of you caniggia
Look this is a football forum and if the boot was on the other foot then I'm sure you would have something to say about Leicester. And that's fair game. We're rivals (kind of) and it should be expected. You have plenty to say about derby when they bottle promotion as do they when you make another balls up appointing a manager
Strett likes to gleefully link every article about Leicesters administration for example. And that's all good, adds to the debate..
