It seems MAJORITY of Arsenal supporters do not want him. Just an average player with one-off season and Wenger is prepared to pay massive sums for him? I hope this deal falls through by some miracle or Arsenal will have one of the highest wages around with bunch of pathetic average players ffs
If this deal does go through he will be decent for a season (fourth place trophy) then a deadwood feeding off the socialist wage system that Wenger has at Arsenal, until his contract runs out.
The practical side in me is trying to find reason to make it work but honestly, it would be clutching the straw just like this desperate signing from Wenger.
The true hero behind LCFC's success was likes of Mayrez and Kante should have been in for these young hungry talent rather than a close to retirement date players.
Edit : I am willing to give Vardy a chance, lets see how it goes..quite skeptical but it looks more like a well thought out buy rather than a panic buy.
Vardy

From a fan whose team conceded 50 goals in the league compared to a second best 36 that is a bit of a comment

It's just whenever someone says Vardy I always thing "Reg"

The best thing about the Vardy signing is the indication that Wenger is finally going to change the style back to how we used to play with Henry etc. Counter attack.

Arsenal fans complain when there's no signings and complain even more when they spend 'too much' on average players

Fixed. Honestly speaking, would you be worried if we signed Vardy? Because i would not be the slightest bit worried if Chelsea signed Vardy

I think vardy is a good shout. We need somebody who knows how to score goals and at the moment there arnt many who can do it better than him, especially in the prem. I actually like welbeck, vardy is similar in pace and a few other things but the main difference is that vardy can score very comfortably.
I think that anybody who thinks its a bad idea are off their head. Stop thinking about money and age, we want a goal scorer and that's exactly what he is.

Vardy may not be the world class striker that many fans wanted, but he is a step in the right direction.

People still unwilling to let go of the notion that the Leicester players got lucky or something. Weak minded and powerless to adapt their thinking. Moaning about buying a striker that scored 24 league goals ffs.

Fans have every right to question and be skeptical i.e. using their own brain rather than accepting the status quo like a mindless zombie.
