winner goes thru to final and other 15 go to 3 grps of 5 and winners then play 2 semif finals to see who play winner of first grp

Or just have all the runners up fall off into a separate competition called the Europa Championships 2016.

Europa Championships

I reckon we might even make the final, definately one of the best teams in there, but fragile under pressure. The likes of Germany, Spain and Italy don't look too hot at the moment, but it never pans out like you'd think.

I am with you Spurtle, Semis at minimum. England are not world beaters by any stretch of the imagination, but there are some seriously overrated teams in this tournament. No reason England cannot match most, if not all. The winner will come from a surprise package in my opinion, and not one of the fancied teams.
