So we qualify as runners up in group B after drawing against a poor Slovakia side. Firstly what the hell was that old geezer thinking making so many changes to the team? It was only going to result in dross like the game tonight. The commentators constantly spouting about how England dominated that was only because Slovakia had no intention to attack pretty much all night. Wilshire was poor and Sturridge and Vardy didn't exactly fire and how the hell did Henderson stay on the pitch for the full 90?? He was probably the worst player on the pitch!! We got what we deserved because of a massive gamble by our manager. Just hope we don't get a good side in the next round because if we have any more of that we will be on the way home pretty sharpish.

To rest six players in what at most is a seven game tournament is suicidal. if players cannot see out that many games then they have no right to even be at the tournament. And Hodgson should have been sacked after the shambolic world cup, so when Hodgson finally goes, can the England selectors also be fired.

Unacceptable really. The fans were all excited before the match, the scenes in St Etienne were hilarious. You just knew as soon as the changes were announced that it was going to fail.
Would a team like Spain suddenly make those changes? Especially Walker and Rose for Clyne and Bertrand who both never really contributed to the attacks.
The atmosphere after the game was just dejection. Fans travelled all the way in numbers for a performance like that, showed great support during the match and then to see a performance like that was just a waste.
At one point Rooney was playing left wing. What is it with England and having CMs out there.

Clyne was superb I thought, not sure how you could say he never really contributed to our attacks.
The game was much like the other two.....dominated against teams that allowed themselves to be pinned back

Clyne had acres of time and space and was up against a pub player at LB, other than a shot at goal I do not remember him creating a single goal scoring chance or supplying any key passes or crosses. He had one of the easiest games of his career and created nothing going forward.

He created 7 chances Billy
I was critical of his inclusion yesterday, but I thought he was superb last night.
Not his fault they were so unadventurous. He did all he could

What 7 chances? I don`t remember, please enlighten.
I mean clear goal scoring chances, not hopeful balls into the box that skim off someone`s head or nearly lead to a half chance.

Dont shoot the messenger.
Are we basing the fullbacks solely on clear cut chances created?
How many have Rose and Walker laid on a plate?
Dont be bitter, give credit where due.

That`s not being bitter, that`s just stating facts. Both full backs had an easy night and had enough ball, time and space, neither created anything of note. If having a good game is wasting a vast amount of possession in good areas, then so be it.

Clyne wasn't superb. He was good but thats about it. I dont think he stood out much but then again noone did.
If i had to pick though id say Clyne and Dier were the best on the pitch. I just dont see why he needed to make so many changes.
We have no winger and you could see that. Sturridge came short way too often and too central. Sometimes Lallana and him would be on the same wide area.
Wilshere lost the ball plenty and was poor. There wasnt enough creativity and movement to pierce their defence.
I thought Hamsik was really good. He played for the weaker team but you could see his quality

I suspect the result would have been exactly the same had Roy made no changes from the previous two games.
Slovakia basically sat back and fought tooth and nail for a draw - congrats to them for almost certainly securing qualification. If they opened up and went for a win they almost certainly would have been picked apart by the better team, England, and almost certainly out of contention for one of 4 spots to go through as 3rd place finishers
The sense of entitlement by some English fans to beat a side in these circumstances is frankly cringeworhty, and i'm a neutral who couldn't care less whether England progressed or not.
Tbf, the English fans at the game seemed to be in very high spirits having secured qualification. Absolutely nothing to grumble about - aside from maybe, not having somebody world class to unlock a game.
Personally i think Roy has been a resounding success in this whole Euro campaign so far, and i think his side can push far because they have a lot of ingredients to do so
