Robb any other country Rashford would be first name on team sheet. I never seen a player at Man Utd so good for a long time in striking department. Having to put up with Martial who takes lots of chances to score, or Memphis who can't score most of the time or Rooney who know thinks low power shots to keeper is best way to score.

I don't think you guys should have taken Rashford tbh. He's obviously very talented but he doesn't offer that much off the bench that the likes of Kane and Sturridge can.

I would have taken Andy Carroll instead as he offers something very different and like Hoddle said last night gives you another way to skin the cat so to speak.

In the last 20 minute in games like last night he would have been a great option.

This is the problem. Woy is too bothered about being loyal to players that he isn't making the right decisions on a game by game basis.

No matter what happened yesterday, Kane was he first striker to come on off the bench. Rooney the first midfielder etc

And on Monday Rashford will be the last striker to get on the pitch again, no matter what the scinario.

I agree there's no point in taking him if hats how he will be used.

There is no point in Andy Carroll as we have not 1 player that can send a half decent cross into the box.

If we took Carroll as a last resort option up top for seeing out games, we should have taken Antonio too.

As the above post shows, Rashford has a great conversion rate. No doubt if he had Vardy's 1on1 chance he would have slipped it through the keepers legs rather than blasting it into his stomach. Like wise his movement in the box would have helped create more chances whether directly for himself or for others. As he has shown with United this season, he is great at creating chances (and converting them) when there is a significant lack of creativity in the team behind him. Kane and Vardy have been great this season, however they have had the benefit of the teams that will create lots of chances for them, something this England team lacks.

I would much rather see Barkley or Milner on the pitch than Hendo. Those that said he didn't have a bad game should re-watch it and count how many crosses he hit at the first man or hoofed to far/high. He must have had about 15 crosses of which 3 were even close to being good.

Wilshere was also very poor, he lost the ball as the last |CM on at ;east 3 occasions leaving pour defense open to the counter attack. a better team would have taken advantage of the opportunity and scored.

On another note Clyne better be starting ahead of Walker in the next game. best player on the pitch yesterday.

Fine, but then you also have to factor in:

- His excellent pass for Vardy's one on one
- His good through ball for Clyne to get behind to set up Lallana (I actually think he put Clyne in twice)
- His shot on the turn that tested the keeper
- His forward run and dink to the back post for Alli's chance

I'm not saying I rate the guy particularly highly, but he seems to have been made the scapegoat unfairly.

I much prefer Wilshere to Henderson, has a higher ceiling as a player and when fit is a much better level than him.

But, it was fairly obvious he had a much worse game than Henderson last night.

Henderson did a good job in nullifying their best player, and as you say did set up more chances than Wilshere which is supposed to be the part he's better at.

He was wasteful though in equal measure, and has a truly terrible cross on him.

His crossing and set plays were definitely poor. It was a mixed bag of a performance for sure, but I felt he made some telling contributions and the abuse he seems to be getting is unwarranted.

Also Mike, like you say (and I forgot to mention), he stuck close to Hamsik when out of possession and kept their star player quiet.

Why are we settling for Woy as England manager to begin with? What a joke. The U.S. has a far better boss than England ffs. He will never win anything! Sure, England isn't Germany or Spain, but should be doing better than the mediocrity settle for year after year. Or if that our lot? To wallow in mediocrity, such as the country has been doing for decades?

5 good moments. I think Barkley would have easily matched that.
