Plenty of hysteria and short-sightedness on here from supposedly educated individuals who claim to be intelligent.
Negotiations haven't even started yet.
Our Government will set the timetable and the agenda from a position of authority. Article 50 has never been tested but it's in our own hands when we decide to invoke it, if at all.
Brussels needed a wake up call to start movements to reform their insitutions. In their usual complacent way they never thought this country would dare to make a stand. Language from the Commission is telling.
What did you understand from taking back control???
We can push for real reform across the EU which has support from other member countries. We can now lead the way in getting the EU that this country has demanded and see the reforms effected that many within the organisation have been demanding for a number of years.
The Leave vote has given the UK a mandate to demand change.
Ironic that the EU Commission want to 'speed' the process through.
One of the most apposite examples of an oxymoron:
A fast-moving EU....

How? We're outside now. The EU are well within their rights to say you're no longer a part of this organisation, we'll do what we want thank you very much.
It's like thinking you can tell your ex who she can/can't see after dumping her.

With the EU insistent we will not get special treatment in negotiations.
Unless you're suggesting our politicians will reverse the leave decision if the EU agrees to reforms?

The more I discuss issues with the remain camp the more it becomes apparent that they haven't a scooby doo what they understand.
They mix everything up and really have no idea about how the EU operates or how much they dId influence our country......Every passing minute it becomes apparent that leaving was 100% the correct decision.

If you understand politics, you should know anything is possible..
..look what's at stake.
We're at the starting point for a pan-European reassessment of the role of the EU. Which has been long overdue.
No pun intended, nothing is black & white with this.
We're looking at a kaleidoscope of grey.
Realpolitik will out.

Literally 5 minutes ago I heard a EU politician say, and I quote," the eu needs to negotiate with Britain, we need Britain as much as they need us".
Does that sound like the EU is going to destroy us??

I can't remember who likened the EU to the orchestra on the Titanic but their house of cards is finished, next comes Grexit,De(nmark)xit,Ne(therlands)xit,Fr(ance)exit,It(aly)exit etc. repeat till fade!
