I'm a strong Tory.

I'm also intelligent.

I voted remain as did 80% of people with a degree. But John the taxi driver from Clacton who thinks voting out means less brown people has won and now the country is half a trillion pounds poorer (take a look at your pension savings), we've LOST not gained sovereignty and there is more instability in Britain than ever before.

Feels weird in reality. It's definitely scary, but it feels nice knowing our future is 100% in our hands. A lot of work to be done, and I feel this is why many politicians wanted to remain. Being part of the EU meant less responsibility for national governments. Now it's time for our politicians to earn their salary.

You think the exit from the EU will be on our terms? You think we have any leverage on renegotiation of trade deals? We've lost power not gained it.

Free trade deals are symbiotic relationships. Both sides gain from having them and both sides lose from ending them. There is no logical reason for the EU to not trade freely with us other than revenge.
