17m voted leave, but what about 16m voted to stay?
I get that the majority wins, but its not a landslide? 17m wanted out, 16m didnt. Media keeps focussing on that 17m figure. Surely the other 16m should be considered a significant number
Country divided, rocky future ahead.
Keep hearing

$1.2trillion wiped off the currency markets overnight.
Half a trillion wiped off the FTSE.
Woo democracy!
How about for once we listen to people who actually know what they are talking about rather than bigoted morons without a fecking clue.

That's how referendums work, I'm afraid.
Could make similar arguments about under-24 year olds bleating on about 73% of them voting Remain ... Aye, but only 40% could be ersed voting in the first place! That's right, so in fact less than 30% of eligible under-24 year old voters bothered to vote Remain. Get over it then.
SNP are also claiming a mandate for a 2nd Indy referendum, after 1.67m voted Remain. Well, 2m Scots voted against Independence first time around .... Could get messy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The vast majority of Scots voted remain too so I'd argue independence is absolutely deserved.
Can leave the backwards ignorant horrendous nation of England back in the dark ages where it's now going to plummet.
