That's how referendums work, I'm afraid.
Could make similar arguments about under-24 year olds bleating on about 73% of them voting Remain ... Aye, but only 40% could be ersed voting in the first place! That's right, so in fact less than 30% of eligible under-24 year old voters bothered to vote Remain. Get over it then.
SNP are also claiming a mandate for a 2nd Indy referendum, after 1.67m voted Remain. Well, 2m Scots voted against Independence first time around .... Could get messy.

The vast majority of Scots voted remain too so I'd argue independence is absolutely deserved.
Can leave the backwards ignorant horrendous nation of England back in the dark ages where it's now going to plummet.
