EFL CHAMPIONSHIP 2016/17 - Live Thread

Well here we are. I was hoping to NOT be doing this again this season. Damn you Hull 'Tigers'

We've lost Burnley, Middlesbrough and Hull, Bolton, MK Franchise and Charlton. (Condolences where appropriate ).

We've gained Newcastle, Norwich and Villa (not that they want to be here but it's not all bad down in the depths of the EFL Championship and also gained the Owls' neighbours - the Dingles aka Barnsley , Burton and Wigan who will all be ecstatic .

Sky Sports will be showing 127 live EFL games this season and the Championship highlights are again on Channel 5 on Saturday nights at 9pm and Leagues 1 and 2 at 10pm. Hopefully Channel 5 will have got their act together from the beginning of the season - no more dodgy audience, technology or presenters .

Everyone welcome here from all 3 EFL divisions, and friends from followers of EPL teams too. Sorry I could only get a handful of other teams in the heading, so if I haven't included your team, please don't feel slighted.

I'll be looking forward to the banter. Usual rules apply (there are none). Just be nice to each other.

You having a little hangover from last season?

Yes, we seem to be - today we should have been 5-1 up at half time but just couldn't score. Lucas Joao missed from about half a yard - watch it on TV. Then Brentford scored from a howler by our keeper - we had a man sent off for two - second one for calling the ref a cant. Luckily we managed an equaliser in added time. Not good enough.

I'm not worried yet - we're not out of August yet

Well at least you are creating and other games you will convert.

Us, we don't threaten at all.

The wheels are in motion for change though, won't be cheap though.

I watched your game on tv last night. Have to agree with you. Bloody Burton though, when we played them, I think our players thought they just had to turn up. Gave us a right tonking. I went to that match, had a lovely evening in the pub beforehand. As usual, a great evening out, spoilt by the football.

Read my earlier post. Goals from everywhere, top scorers in the league and strikers not firing yet.
Best player by a country mile in Conor Hourihane
3rd going into the international break, and that's with a last minute loss to Huddersfield, and dubious decisions at Ipswich.
Enjoying this.

Well done snapski - at least you're continuing on where you left off last season - as I said above though, we're not out of August yet. I have great hopes for the rest of the season

Hope Conor gets an Irish call up for the next squad.

Early days Snap bro and no doubt you've had the feel good factor going into the season.

But great start no doubt
