Hello all!
Games coming round thick and fast early doors. A game of two halves on tuesday night. Uninspiring and boring first added to a lot of forest posession meant chances were slim. Second half came out all guns blazing and had a real go. Really unlucky not to win in normal time and a it was a definite foul on there box before breaking away. Worryingly however its another 90+ minute goal we need be better concentrating and preventing.
A few point scorers. Cheltenhamrover and Mooligan with 8 points each for correct result and scorer NY BVZ Mickey and Uthred had the correct result picking up 3 points each. no one had Mandeville as first scorer therefore for the crowd of 5160 Donaldo picks up 4 points for being within 200. Aussielad, Crazyrover, NY and Yorkshirelad with 2 points for being within 400.
Tomorrow i think we'll pick up our first win so 3-1 with Rowe scoring first and a crowd of 4567
Uthred 13
Cheltenhamrover 8
Mooligan 8
Aussielad 7
Donaldo 7
NY 5
Bvz 4
Mickey 3
Yorkshirelad 3
Crazyrover 2
Azza 0
Selbyrover 0

Lund didn't come on at half time.
It was part way through the second half when he came on for Calder.
We then went to a flat back four and once again we started to look half decent.
Blair played as a conventional RB.
Copps rolled back the years in the second half and Rowe looked good again after we changed the system.
I think Ferguson only changed it because Mason got injured and he had to.
Agree about Willuams, the one late on that he put in row z was just snatched at.
He gets quite a few opportunities to be fair but can't finish for toffee.
My money is on Fergie again starting with 3-5-2 on Tuesday and we will waste another half a game playing like a team with no idea.
Oh, WTF was Etheridge doing early on when nearly sliced that ball into his own goal?

In the Highlands, probably just as well.

Anyone heard about one of their players playing today who is supposed to be on a ban for getting 2 yellow cards. Apparently it was on the Crawley Web site saying today was his last game and he would be available to play in midweek.

Interesting BVZ.
If so would they get a points deduction or would we be awarded the win?
Or, more likely, would the FA do FA about it.
One of the good things about our performance today was the good corners we took.
One straight from training rehearsals produced the goal.
All the big lads went to the far post and Copps came to the near to shoot from the low ball played in.

Be interesting if it's true hound. Knowing our luck they'll get a points deduction and result will stay same. Would take a 3 nil win though. ...... if that was available 😂
The corner we scored from was a great move, tried it at Accrington but smashed into a player stood on the line.
Been told Williams is on thin ice with Fergie. Could be dropped to bench on Tuesday.

I stand corrected. At half time Garratt came on for Wright and took his place in the back three. Later Mason went off injured and, if memory serves, Lund replaced him in the back three. When Calder went off and Mandeville came on Rovers went to a flat back four with Blair as RB. Long before then, apart from pushing on down the wings every now and again, Crawley had settled for a point. There is nothing wrong with 3-5-2 if you have the players. We don't. Too slow.

Just seen "The highlights "
Blair may not be a wing back but he was left so exposed.
Surely if you see the problem you should address it even if you are not going to alter the formation as such

Lanza, i was saying the same about Blair all game.
It isnt his fault he is getting roasted.
The winger got in behind him 7 or 8 times in the first half and again a couple of times in the second.
It didnt stop until Ferguson was forced into a change when Mason came off injured and Mandeville came on and he had to go to a flat back four.
Suddenly the game changed.
Everyone in the ground could see the problem, well, except for DF.
