Green - 7 based on the save he made. Think his vocals do help the defence at times which we didn't have last season. Not totally convinced though
Ayling - 6. Defended well but didn't shine. An improvement at right back.
Bartley and Coops 7 - Both did quite well actually. Biggest concern is still lack of protection in front of them.
Taylor - 6. Did ok
Dallas - 5. Meh. Lack of pace kills his game
Phillips - 6. Did the ugly part quite well but never going to be good enough to hold the spine of the team in championship
Pablo - 5. Poor tonight. Monk twice now played him deep in a cm in a hope to control the game. He never played this position for Swansea so don't see why he'd try it now. His talents should be placed higher up the field.
Roofe - 6. Tried hard, has something but he's not got going yet.
Ant - 7. I like him. Think he's clever and will score goals. Unlucky not to today
Wood - 5. The goal shouldn't disguise how poor he has started this season. Hoping this will turn t around because he's unlikely to be replaced.
I was worried as soon as I saw the starting 11 and feel that Monk has already shown some serious lack of experience. now I'm not saying Murphy and big Dave are the best cm in the league but SURELY as the only senior and experienced cm players available at the moment should be playing in that midfield. Murphy has shown enough in the past that he's good enough at this level without standing out. Same for Dave.
I think monk on several occasions already has gone in with hope more than judgement. His subs seem to be strange as well. In a game we need to win he brings off a winger to bring on Vieira. Surely Sacko was the choice?
Bridcutt is a step in the right direction but he's not the messiah and won't solve this on his own. It needs another midfielder of quality next to him.
Monk got lucky tonight. I hope he learns from his actions quickly and gets things right but can't say I'm impressed so far.
Still, a point gets us off the mark.
Cause for concern

Was really impressed with Fulham. Don't knock them mate. Played good stuff. Great midfield. Parker still has it.
They'll be up near playoffs I feel. Just need a class striker.

One positive
Am getting a refund on two season tickets because No way we getting top six
posted on 16/8/16
Id forgotten about the refunds. Depressing in a way, we're lot even out of August and we're so far off being a top 6 side it's worrying that the club made the decision regarding the money back promise. No long term thought at all and will be a huge loss in trust.

What is your best starting 11 so far guys?
I know each opponent may need a tweak here or there, but what do you all think our preferred starting 11 should be so far?
Feel free to include Bridcutt.

--------------- Turnbull -----------------
- Ayling --- Cooper --- Bartley --- Taylor
------- Murphy ------- Bridcutt ----------
-Hernandez --- Mowatt --- Roofe -
------------ Antonsson ----------
Despite his goal tonight, Wood has been useless. His celebration annoyed everyone around me too.
Young lads in midfield haven't cut it. Viera has something but being played in a ridiculous system.
Hernandez can create but wrong system and position for him tonight. Never a deep lying player.
Antonson looks okay, clever player but not sure he'll score many.
Roofe I think will come good but needs to step up soon.
Mowatt HAS to start.
Centre mid has been embarrassing. Shocking selections for the system he's attempting. Feel for the kid that played there as I think he has something.
New lad looks alright at RB but nothing amazing. Reminds me of Connolly though who I liked.
Centre backs same as usual, 6/10 most the game then f*ck something up.
Taylor isn't 'disinterested', he just isn't that good. Playing as he did last year.
Green is no improvement on Silvestri yet, and I don't like Silvestri.
Monk, poor so far. Talking the talk, but nowhere near even Evans yet.
Worrying times.

Thanks Hay, Green for me in goal and perhaps Sacko instead of Murphy, depending on formation/system.

Don't feel Pablo of Alex have the legs to play in a midfield two, or the defensive sided reading of the game.
Green has been poor.

There's nothing positive about Burton winning.
They are rivals for a relegation spot, and pulling away from us.
