Walcott

Bloke is trash! Biggest failure in our history considering the time and investment we've put into his career. He's won us nothing major, still not even reached 100 goals for us in over a decade.

Bigger talents like Gnabry, Campbell, Ox are losing development because of him, please let's just get rid. Especially if he hinders buying more players in addition to paying 600 employees at the club.

His wage amount is disgusting for someone of his level.

You cant demonize our most offensive player in the last 2 games. I saw some passengers and no one writes about them. Walcott didn't play many games last year so you can blame him for the teams poor performance.
He was not even in France so should we blame him for England poor show?

Walcott was very much progressing and maturing at 24/5 as expected

No he wasn't, and to to compare him to Bale is laughable - Walcott has improved his one-on-one finishing to moderate and has got better at the timing of his off-the-ball runs - that's it in TEN years.

Due to his blistering pace he has his moments but he still can't control a football properly, he hides when things get tough, he's injury prone and his overall workrate in 90 minutes is piss-poor.

You don't win titles with players like him.

Lets be honest, the whole team (2 center backs aside) were either poor or very poor. You either scrutinize the entire team or the man who has assembled the team or both. Some people's obsessions with the likes of Walcott, Wilshere, Oxlade is pretty disturbing.

Who compared him to Bale

You can peddle all the stats you want, but anyone who doesn't watch Walcott with a whole lot of frustration must either be blinkered by some kind of perverse crush on the guy, or simply knows absolute fack all about football. It's not a question of "opinion". Guy's a sack of sheite. Poor control, poor awareness, poor passing and link-up play, non-existent dribbling skills, poor workrate. Guy has like 1 outstanding game per season, one good game in ten, 1 barely mediocre level performance in 5 and the rest of the time (which is MOST of the time), doesn't look like a professional footballer.

I'd admit he had like 2 good seasons sandwiching the summer of RVP's departure, but despite the astonishing amount of chances Wenger has given him, he has failed to develop at Arsenal. I wouldn't care much if he stayed or went if he was on modest wages. The outrage of being in the top tier earners at Arsenal is probably what makes me borderline hateful of the guy (yes, he doesn't deserve that: Wenger does). What a tragic waste of money.

Everyone misplaces and mis controls a pass fgs!. His defensive work was fantastic yesterday, an aspect of his game that has been hugely criticised, love how no one mentions that. Fed up of repeating myself, the media portrayed him as a wonder kid. When all he is, is a efficient player with pace and good movement. Wenger stated that from day one, the media wrote otherwise.

Dude, without his pace Walcott is average. Like many I remember the tackle he absolutely bottled it and pulled out of last season. His like playing with a .25-.50 most of the time, how he got to his salary level is beyond me!

Never said he was worldclass anyway, just sick of him being made the scapegoat every time we fail to win. There were worse players than him yesterday that the op has failed to mention.

IMO we give Sanchez one of the wings and let Walcott, gnabry, Iwobi and the ox fight for the other, financially that does not make any sense?

Sheriff totally agree other than the two good seasons. Well said.
