.....had since Ledley King? And is he possibly the best centre back in Premier League at the moment? Very few people will say yes for second question!

But most spurs fans saw a lot of both and know King was better - no question for me - with him in the team thought we always stood a chance. Campbell had an occasional mistake in him and relied a lot on his speed/strength. He didn't have the technique to help the team play the way King did.
--------------------
They're Spurs fans. What do you expect? A few seasons ago, many of them claimed RVP was the only Arsenal player that could make their team. Ledley King had tons of mistakes too. He gets less scrutiny cos he didn't face the pressure situations at the highest level players like Campbell or Terry would get for club and country. He was in a comfort zone where Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal could all smash Spurs and no one gives a fack. Campbell wasn't. A lot of people here are confusing elegance for ability. There's fack all King could do Campbell couldn't. Campbell was very good at bringing the ball out of defence. He was more physically imposing and better in the air and a big game player.
I don't care too much what King could have become if not fir injuries. Wilshere went from making the team of the season at 19 to having a nightmare run of injuries, spenfing the equivalent of almost 4 seasons worth of football in the treatment room. It doesn't stop those who love to ridicule how overrated he is.

Campbell was not even a central defender, he started off as a forward, but was fecking useless there as well. He was just a big agricultural lump. In my sixty years of supporting Spurs, I have seen at least a dozen central defenders that were head and shoulders above Campbell.
----------------------------
Yeah, that's why you have the grand total of 2 league titles for all those dozens of great defenders you have. Amazing achievement.
What does Campbell's youth position have to do with his ability as a defender, granddad? You going a bit senile?

Wiltshire is ridiculously overrated though, you have to admit it? One decent game v Barca
-------------------------
It's the ignorant stuff people come up with: one good game against Barca. Can't tell if it's deliberate trolling or they hear it from other trolls and assume it's true. Yeah, it makes sense 19-year-old Wilshere was our player of the season and made every team of the year PL list because of one decent game against Barca. Whatever rocks your boat.

I really rate Alderweirled, and, unpopular opinion time, actually prefer him to King.
Not necessarily as he is a better player, but he can give you 30+ games a season and I think his creativity from deep is exceptional.

Ledleys performance vs Suarez when we beat Pool at Anfield 2-0 was one of the best I have ever seen.
