Hi all took the plunge yesterday and purchased GTA 3 , Vice City and San Andreas from the ps2 Classics range .
First off graphicly these games have aged terribly. Game play wise these games still hold there own
I would say from a game play perspective these games are still better than 4 and 5.
Any one else prefer the older ones or is it just me !
GTA Old School !

5 felt a bit lazy to me, still a 9/10 game bu the missions weren't particularly interesting or well thought out, for an open world game they were ridiculously linear and easy all the way through, sports cars still had a top speed of around 120mph and not that fun to drive, couldn't really have any impact on the world around you and the police were too easy to evade.

Dunno what most people see in GTAV, tried so many times to get into it but it never happens. Just because it shoots better and is smoother with better graphics doesn't put it in the same league as III/Vice City/San Andreas.

The missions are worse, hate the way the characters move since GTA IV, driving is less fun, overall it just isn't as fun.
GTAV wasn't the best game of 2013 never mind the last 5 years.

Again I'm sorry but most people disagree

The thing with GTAV for me is that, a year or so down the line, I can't remember a single mission from it.
I don't remember the mission that frustrated the hell out of me.
I don't remember the mission where I kept dying right at the end.
I don't remember the mission that was so much fun that I wanted to do it again as soon as I'd finished it.
That's because those missions didn't exist. It felt like the missions were there more often than not to simply progress the story and nothing more.
It's a shame because it's a terrific game otherwise - they just didn't put enough craft and skill into the missions.

Whereas I'll remember that Vice City mission where you fly the RC helicopter in order to blow up that building till the day I die.
And the ending mission was pretty kickass.

Exactly my thoughts, Igor. The only missions I remember were the frustratingly boring or disappointing ones - driving like 6 miles in that lorry with the cars on the back listening to pretty dull dialogue, taking forever to pilot the sub with Trevor.
And the missions which should have been cool, like breaking into the FBI with a helicopter which should have been really cool was just too linear and dull.
