I think the record for consecutive wins for City is 11, set way back in the late 1800s. (correct me if I'm wrong).
We're currently on 8 consecutive wins. The first league game of the season (home vs Sunderland) perhaps being the least impressive performance of those games.
Today, for me, was the most impressive. Over the course of 90 minutes. We've started brightly in most games but then faded away in the second half (probably due to fatigue), but today the team looked sharper and fitter for the full duration than they have in previous games.
And today without Silva and Aguero, and Kompany on the bench.
First clean sheet of the league season of course being a bonus.
De Bruyne - simply immense.
Sterling - simply immense.
Iheanacho - simply immense. What an understudy to Aguero this kid is fast becoming.
It's only the start to the season, but it couldn't be a better start.
Impressive start

I believe under your previous manager, you started the season with 6 or 7 straight wins then finished 4th on the final day.
It's not even October.
