Honestly i dont understand why this guy ever gets picked for England, must have given the ball away 8 times in 20mins, total waste of space.
The only positive about him playing is that its probably kept headless chicken Walcott out the team.
Downing = Useless

Lol.
Nah why would Fergie want to help the English. He's gone on record as saying, He's been approached many times and he's knocked them back everytime. He knows England is a lost cause at the moment. Fergie cant change that on his own.

i think it would appeal to his ego to go out with a bang

Possibly.... but I stil dont think he would ever consider England. He hates the FA with a passion He might go and manage Scotland one last time before he calls it a day.

Shouldn't you have gone back to school today?
Honestly some of the things people write on here are beyond stupid.

Good to see you have an open mind Albert,if he was offered £6million year like Fabio,I think he would consider it.Can't see him taking the Scotland job as he's so used to success so it would have to be something like the world cup to tempt him and he'd still be working with a few of his Utd players.
It's probably unlikely but surely not impossible

Utd will be his final job he's said it many times before.
International football (and especially England) doesnt interest him at all.
It wont happen. Simple

Fergie has explicitly stated he'd been aproached at least twice regarding the England job and twice dismissed the opportunity, quoting the job as "a poisoned chalice". He will never be England manager (unfortunately). I actually think Wenger would make an excellent manager for England. He would inherit a strong defence so we needn't worry about that (as it's weak spot) and he would accelerate the development of the technical players by implementing them into the first team. He would enforce a new style of play, similar to how he transformed boring boring Arsenal into a mesmeric side on their day.

As it's his weak spot, correction, sorry.

Sorry people, but young and downing were the only people who did anything against Wales.
The rest of the forward players might as well have not bothered and that includes Rooney, who despite being a lone striker spent 90% of the game in his own half.
