Spurs v Leicester
A solid defensive performance form Spurs, kept Leciester at bay, the young fullbacks in particular having fine games. but the main battle was in the heart of the pitch, Kante and Dembele involved in a pulsating battle with Vidal and Kroos. Kante stifled Vidal and stopped him what he is good at in making runs into the danger area. Silva was the architect in the opening goal as he danced passed Javi to set up Lacazette in 27 minutes, it was a fiery encounter in which Leicester equalised near the end of the first half when Zlatan showed his class when he pounced on a rare mistake by Denayer and turned Kompany then lashed home. Second half was thunderous as both went for it, but both defences playing a huge part in keeping each other away from goal
Spurs 1 v 1 Leicester
Spurs - Lacazette (Silva)
LC - Zlatan
MOTM - Kante
Birmingham v Man City
After a dull first half this game came to life early in the second as a mistimed, reckless challenge on Gotze by Carvalho saw the Brum midfielder see red, Gotze himself took the resulting freekick which ended up in the postage stamp, this changed the game as City gained possession and Brum found it very difficult with a backs to the wall performance, but to be fair to them they managed to keep it at 1-0 with a very strong performance by the back 4.
Birmingham 0 - 1 Man City
MC - Gotze (FK)
Carvalho
MOTM - Toprak
Aston Villa 2 - 0 Portsmouth
Son(KDB), KDB (freekick)
MOTM - KDB
Man Utd 0 - 2 Hull City

Arsenal v Liverpool
On paper, very exciting game to look forward to and it didn't disappoint, two top class teams going at each other from the start, Kane scored early after some nifty footwork by Ronaldo, they scored again soon after as Ronaldo got through and a cool finish to boot. Liverpool got to grips with Arsenals formation and began to take control for a while and in the second half they got there rewards as again two quick fire goals by Aubameyang got them level in a game that had everything but a winner, a fair result in the end by two teams giving there all.
Arsenal 2 - 2 Liverpool
Arsenal Kane(Ronaldo), Ronaldo
Liverpoo lAubameyang x 2 (Griezmann x 2)
MOTM - Ronaldo

Newcastle United 2 - 3 Chelsea
Scorers: Suarez x2 (Pjanic, Direct FK); Aguero x2 (Sanchez x2), Dybala (Neymar)
MotM: Sanchez
A game between two terrific attacks and strong midfields produced a predictably electrifying match up that produced plenty of action throughout. Newcastle stood toe to toe with the reigning champions, often outhustling them in the centre of the pitch and dictating the tempo of the game. Their key man today was, as always, Luis Suarez - whose pure striking instinct kept Chelsea's back 4 on their toes all game. Coupled with two direct wingers and the genius of Pjanic resulted in an afternoon Chelsea's defence would rather forget.
Up at the other end of the pitch, Chelsea faired much better, with Alexis Sanchez causing the young full back Wendell all manner of problems on the right hand side of the pitch. The rest of Newcastle's experienced defence remained resolute for large parts of the game but the success that Sanchez was having instigated nearly every dangerous attack that Chelsea came up with.
In what was a very even encounter, the final blow came late on, cruelly for Newcastle it must be said, with the substitute Dybala combining well with Neymar to create a yard of space in the area, before drilling a low ball across the face of goal that Buffon could not get down quick enough to prevent. A tough pill for Newcastle to swallow but elation for Chelsea.

Stoke 2-1 Wolves
Goals:
Benzema (Ribery) Kovacevic (Wilshere)
Hernandez (Walcott)
Close game this by 2 improving sides - think Stoke's 4-3-3 was well set-up to counter the 4-2-3-1. Home advantage I think was key
MOTM - Benzema, led the line well and was a right handful for the Wolves back-line
