Consecutive Wins

Only one English club has won their first 11 league matches.

Tottenham Hotspur FC is that club.

Edited at 17.44 to add 'league'.

Gosh, that takes me back.I remember the first defeat that 60/61 season.I saw it!
Went to Sheffield to watch Spurs play Wednesday with some friends....and we lost 2-1.Good game though.Could have gone either way.
Any other season and Wednesday would have won the league with their record that 60-61 season!!!!!

I'm sure someone told me that its possible we could play 71 games in total this season.

Admittedly, the squad size is much bigger than back then but that is still alllllllllllllllot of games.

Remember that in those days you played your FIRST TEAM in every match............................and they were getting a pittance compared to the overpaid & arrogant guys today, who get tired if they have two games in 7 days!!

The 60/61 double side used just 13 players for the majority of the season - there were only 17 registered players.

Spurs can't afford more than that in those days.
