I think we also had a good run of consecutive wins at the end of the previous season, so the winning run was more than 11 if you take that into consideration.

I think in the mid-80's Man Utd had a long run of consecutive wins at the start of the season and ended up blowing it. Think it was under Big Ron.

Didn't Liverpool only use 15 one season when they won the league ??

They only won the last 2 games of the previous season, before then they had been beaten by one of the clubs in Fulham and one of the Manchester clubs making a run of 13 consecutive wins.
